Mel C: 'Beckham breaks down fashion barriers'

Mel C has praised her former Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham for her success in the fashion industry.

The singer borrowed two of Beckham's designs from her self-titled label for a recent awards ceremony and said that the dresses made her feel "amazing".

She told You: "When I was up for the Olivier Awards, I called Victoria and asked if I could borrow one of her designs. She sent these gorgeous gowns over right away.

"I wore two that night - one for performing, and one for the ceremony, and they made me feel amazing, really pulled me in in all the right places."

The 37-year-old insisted that Beckham has worked "really hard" to make a name for herself as a designer.

She added: "Victoria has broken down a lot of barriers to get where she has in fashion [and] to earn respect."

Mel recently admitted that she is worried marriage will ruin her relationship with partner Tom Starr.
