10 years ago today

On this date 10 years ago, in 1998, the Spice Girls played Canada for the first time, selling out the Molson Centre in Montreal. Shows in Toronto the next night and in Vancouver the following month were also quick sellouts, despite the fact that Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell) had dropped out of the group on the eve of the world tour.

Mel C New Album (for Canada anyway)??

On several websites and EMI Music Canada, they report that Melanie C will releasing her fourth studio album 'This Time' in Canada. She plans to release 'Carolyna' as the first single from that album.

She also plans to do a Canadian Tour to promote 'This Time' in May 2008, which is good news for Canada, but what about us Brits, Mel?

Message to Melanie "You are a very talented young woman, please come back to the home of the Spice Girls and do a few of your solo gigs. People do love your music in the UK and not just Europe, so please Mel, listen to my plea. Michael xxx"
