Singer says they don't need to formalise their relationship

Friday, 7 November 2008

Emma Bunton has revealed she has no wedding plans with long-term boyfriend Jade Jones.

The couple have been together for 10 years but marriage isn't something they discuss.

‘It’s not on the agenda,’ she tells Weekend. ‘We don’t even talk about it.

‘We’re really happy, so we don’t feel the need to formalise [our relationship].’

Emma, 32, and Jade, 28, have a 15-month-old son Beau and say they'd like a bigger family.

‘I’m really looking forward to having more children,’ she says.

‘Having a child is the best thing I have ever done.’

The Spice Girl feared she might never conceive after being diagnosed with endometriosis aged 25.

'For a long time I thought I might never be a mum,' she says. 'It scared the life out of me.'

Brown and wed Stephen Belafonte in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in June (07) and the couple are taking guests on a lavish trip to Hurghada, Egypt this week (begs03Nov08) to celebrate their marriage in front of friends and family.
The lavish four-day celebrations will reportedly include a boat trip on the Red Sea and a treasure hunt.
And Bunton insists that she is devastated to miss the party, but has to stay in Britain due to work commitments.
She says, "It's happening this week, but I can't make it."

Emma Bunton Shocked By Beckham-Obsessed Paparazzi

Singer Emma Bunton is shocked by the constant paparazzi storm which follows fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham everywhere she goes - because she only sees her pal as a normal mum.

Bunton and Beckham were bandmates in the girl power group, with Victoria becoming fodder for the media after her lavish wedding to soccer superstar David Beckham in 1999.
And Bunton still can't believe the attention fashion icon Victoria attracts.

She tells Britain's Red magazine, "(I was in a restaurant with Victoria) and people were looking at her, trying to get her attention.

"But, to me, she's just Victoria, my friend. She's an amazing mother and she's very funny. She was texting me this morning and I was in hysterics - that's the part I see of her."

POSH: SPICE GIRLS LOOKED LIKE DRAG QUEENS

VICTORIA Beckham says she cringes when she looks back at the outfits the Spice Girls used to wear. The former Spice added that the girls, Geri in particular, looked like a group of drag queens. While looking at a picture of the group at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards, she told Allure: "Good God. This is the worst we ever looked. We looked like five men dressed as women.""Can you imagine getting any more make-up on your face? "Look at Geri - what does she look like? We all joke about this now, actually. You know, fashion changes."The style icon added: "Rather than ever looking back at my clothes and cringing, I look back at the make-up and cringe. "It looks like someone beat me up and pushed me onto the stage. None of the clothes were really that fabulous in the Spice Girls, you know."

Spice up your ... wardrobe

It looks like former Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, has finally woken up and realised what the rest of us have been thinking all along - the Spice Girls looked like drag queens!

In a recent interview she was shown a photo of the fab five all frocked out back in their hey-day.

Apparently the old pic was extremely cringe-worthy to Vic, the now-fashionista.

"Good God! This is the worst we ever looked. We looked like five men dressed as women!"

Apparently it wasn't just their choice of wardrobe that copped it from Vic either.

"Can you imagine getting any more make-up on your face? ... It looks like someone beat me up and pushed me onto the stage."

Mel B's Spice vow

Melanie B vows the Spice Girls will "never" reform again.

The 33-year-old singer - who shot to fame with Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Geri Halliwell as part of the girl group - says despite their recent hugely successful reunion tour, they have no plans to do it again.

She said: "We started the Spice Girls, and it's very important for us - because we're all very much in control of our own careers individually and as a group - to finish it when we wanted to finish it. So we ended on a nice high.

"We decided when we got together that we were always going to decide for ourselves when we were going to stop, rather than it whittling out.

"But we'll never get back together now. That's it for the Spice Girls."

However, despite her vow, Mel insists she hasn't shed her 'Scary Spice' image.

She added: "I'm still Scary Spice, and I'm still me! I think as you get older, you soften a little bit, and kids definitely bring your priorities into a different light.

"I don't know if I've changed. I've just grown up as a person. I don't really know what else to say about that, apart from, 'Don't get me mad!'

Geri Halliwell's West End dream

Geri Halliwell wants to become a West End star.
The former Spice Girls star is keen to make a move into musical theatre and would like to star in a play in London's famous theatre district.
She told friends: "I may now look at a musical role, too."
Geri - who initially left the Spice Girls in May 1998 to become a solo star - recently insisted her career as a solo artist is over.
The mother-of-one said: "I feel like I've hung up my hot pants now. I'll always try and be honest about myself. I've finished as a solo artist."
The 34-year-old - also known as Ginger Spice - believes the Spice Girls reunion tour, which ended in February, has brought the girls closer together.
Geri - who was joined on the road by Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Mel B - added: "I feel we are just like a family. We clicked again straight away - it's just like a family travelling in a bubble. I really enjoy our relationships. But I always wish I had left the group under better circumstances, rather than just walking out. But that's exactly why I wanted to do it again."

Victoria’s paparazzi trail surprises Emma Bunton

London, July 5 (IANS) Spice Girls singer Emma Bunton is surprised by the media always hounding her band mate Victoria Beckham because she always thought of her as just a normal friend and mother. Victoria started getting extra media attention when she married football star David Beckham in 1999. But Emma is shocked by the media being always on Victoria’s trail, reports contactmusic.com.

She said: “I was in a restaurant with Victoria and people were looking at her, trying to get her attention. But to me, she’s just Victoria, my friend. She’s an amazing mother and she’s very funny. She was texting me this morning and I was in hysterics - that’s the part I see of her.”

Spice Girl Emma Bunton: 'I Like Being Curvy'

Emma Bunton is proud of her feminine figure. "I like being curvy!" she tells Britain's Red magazine. "I don't think I'd look good thin."

Still, getting back into her skimpy Spice Girls outfits soon after the birth of her son was far from ideal.

"At the time, I thought going on tour so soon after Beau would be a great idea," she says. "I should have thought about it more!"

After four weeks of total relaxation following her son's birth, Baby Spice admits she harbored qualms about going back to her day job.

"It's tough for any woman returning to work straight after having a baby. I didn't want to be in the gym 24 hours a day instead of being with Beau," says the singer, who breast-fed her son and did a lot of walking to stay toned.

Bunton admits that she initially felt self-conscious being back in the limelight with the band.

"But, one night, I was up on stage and it just hit me: Hold on, Emma. Everyone knows you've just had a baby – enjoy it.' "

These days, Bunton says she could "never be one of those people who thinks about their figure 24/7." But she is "careful" about what she eats.

"I don't have carbs for dinner, " she says. "But I love [chips] and Coke and great wine and Chinese food."
