Mel B at Cosmopolitan Women of the Year Awards

Mel B

Spice Girl Mel B appeared at the event with husband Stephen Belafonte in tow. The ceremony also celebrates the achievements of real-life women for things like charity and environmental work.

Bride Mel B: Spice girls weren't invited

Mel B
Mel and Stefan ready for wedding bliss

Mel B has denied snubbing her Spice clan after leaving them off the guest list for her second wedding to husband Stefan Belafonte. She says it was for close friends only.

The Spice Girl told Guilty Pleasures over dinner, just hours before her nuptials, that Ginger, Baby, Sporty and Posh had been told about the wedding but were not invited - but gifts were welcome…

Brown, 33, said she has also lined-up a lucrative magazine deal for the special date in Egypt, set to take place Thursday.

She told me at the Cosmopolitan Women of the Year Awards: 'We can't wait. We decided to do it for the kids and we only want it to be a real intimate affair with the ten closest people in our lives.'

'The Spice Girls weren't snubbed. They all know about it and have sent some amazing presents.'

But the intimate day surely comes with a big pay day after she said: 'We got married last year and we always said we'd do it again one year on. I can't tell you the details because I have lined up a magazine deal so you'll just have to wait and see.'

On the destination, she said: 'We love Egypt. We've been there about three or four times and have bought a home there. We have loads of friends there so it's just the right place to do it.'

But talk about leaving thing to the eleventh hour! Scary revealed she still had to go buy jewellery for her special moment after dinner!

Doing swell: Pregnant Mel C shows off her burgeoning belly as she picks up baby tips from stand-in chat host Mel B

Pregnant pop star Melanie Chisholm stocked up on parenting tips during an interview with her former bandmate Melanie Brown.

Sporty Spice, who is five months pregnant with her first child, was a guest on The Paul O'Grady Show, which was hosted by Mel B yesterday while regular host is on holiday.

Walking on stage, Chisholm proudly showed the audience her burgeoning baby bump before sitting down on the sofa for a surreal tete-a-tete with her former bandmate-turned-interviewer.

Mother-of-two Brown, who is preparing to renew her vows to husband Stephen Belafonte in Egypt next month, has barely seen her former bandmate since the Spice Girls world tour ended in February.

As the two singers talked babies during the show, Chisholm revealed she has been given the chance to give birth with the same obstetrician as the other Spice Girls.

Mel C had been introduced to the doctor as the 2007 christening of Geri Halliwell's daughter Bluebell.

At the service, he joked to Chisholm that he could 'to complete the full set' with her before he retired.

Joining the pregnant 34-year-old on the chat show sofa was Sex And The City actress Kim Cattrall, 52.

After Mel B, 33, asked if there would be a second film to follow up this year's hit film version of the TV show, Cattrall replied, 'Yes.'

The three women then competed in a nappy challenge to see who could put diapers on the fastest and Chisholm was the fastest.

Chisholm and her long-term love Thomas Starr are expecting their baby in March.

She will be the last Spice Girl to become a mother.

Victoria Beckham has three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, Emma Bunton has a son Beau, Halliwell has a daughter Bluebell and Brown has two daughters Phoenix and Angel.

Posh snubs Mel B bash

VICTORIA BECKHAM has snubbed an invitation to MEL B’s lavish Egyptian “wedding”.

Scary Spice is flying friends and family out for an all-expenses-paid trip to see her renew her vows to STEPHEN BELAFONTE, who she married in Las Vegas last year.

Posh and DAVID BECKHAM don’t plan to attend the tacky four-day bash in Hurghada.

It is not known if the other Spice Girls GERI HALLIWELL, EMMA BUNTON and pregnant MEL C will be there.

Last year the Spice Girls reunited for a lucrative three-month tour.

Despite this and the fact Mel B and Victoria both live in LA, the two rarely see each other and are not close.

Savvy Mel is rumoured to be getting £200,000 from OK! magazine for the exclusive rights to the ceremony.

These deals are all about getting your famous pals in the snaps and I’m told Mel has been inviting celebs she hardly knows to make herself look good.

Whatever happens, it’s a safe bet Mel B’s ex EDDIE MURPHY, won’t be on the guest list.

Spice Girl Mel invites pals to her tacky Egyptian wedding

MEL B is getting married AGAIN this week—and flying her family and friends to Egypt for the FOUR-DAY celebration.

The ex-Spice girl is renewing her vows to Stephen Belafonte—who she married in a secret shotgun wedding last year—at an over-the-top do.

And it’s all-expenses paid for the guests, who will be treated to flights, hotel accommodation, meals, drinks and entertainment.

Egyptian Mummy: Mel is renewing her vows

The invitations to the city of Hurghada are TWENTY pages long, and in the style of Egyptian passports. They say: “Guests are invited to ‘an outrageously fun treasure hunt that Mel came up with herself’.

“Guests are also invited to dine at one of the hotel’s five restaurants and enjoy a folklore show after dinner.

“The couple renew their vows on day two. The day after the wedding Mel and Stephen have arranged for guests to take in the red sea on a luxury diving boat.”

Stunned

Mel, 33, is believed to have invited several celebs including Fearne Cotton, Girl’s Aloud’s Sarah Harding, Denise Van Outen and Strictly’s Rachel Stevens but none can attend. It is not known if other Spice Girls will be there.

She stunned family and fans when she wed unknown movie producer Stephen, also 33, in Las Vegas.

Invitation: Passport to the guestlist

They began dating when she was pregnant with comic Eddie Murphy’s daughter, who she named Angel. Stephen has a four-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

OK! magazine is believed to have paid £200,000 for the exclusive rights to cover the ceremony.

Mel B Raises £60,000 For Charity

Mel B
Mel B put various items from her time in the legendary girl band up for sale to raise money for children`s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Mel B has raised £60,000 for charity by auctioning some of her Spice Girls memorabilia.

The singer The singer put various items from her time in the legendary girl band up for sale to raise money for children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Most notably, a 16ft-long bespoke table, complete with 16 chairs - which featured on MTV show 'Cribs' - raised a staggering £3,260 for the worthy cause after a bidding war erupted between two interested parties.

Speaking about the success of the auction, Mel said: "I am thrilled that so many people around the world got involved with the Mel B sale and that such a fantastic amount of money has been raised for CLIC Sargent."

Jeremy Lune, Head of Retail at CLIC Sargent, added: "The interest generated by the sale was enormous, and far more than we could had expected. It shows the love which people hold for Mel B that they were prepared to pay hundreds, even thousands of pounds, for a bikini or a trouser suit.

"We are absolutely thrilled at the amazing amount that the sale has raised and are overwhelmed by Mel B's generosity".

Other items sold included the fake fur outfit Mel wore in the ''Who Do You Think You Are' music video, which raised £600, her personal Bechstein Baby Grand Piano complete with matching white leather piano stool, sold for £9,000, and the tribal necklace she wore in the 'Say You'll Be There' promo.

Further items from Mel's memorabilia collection, including a chess set, Dolce and Gabbana boots and a motorbike, will be sold at auction in December. Details can be found on melbsale.com

2 becomes 1 (again) for Mel B as she shops for bridal dresses ahead of her wedding vow renewal

When Melanie Brown first married husband Stephen Belafonte last year, it was a secret, low-key ceremony in Las Vegas that she didn't even admit had happened until two months later.

Just two months after giving birth to Eddie Murphy's baby Angel Iris and four months after she started dating Belafonte, it was perhaps understandable why Brown wanted to keep the nuptials quick and easy.

However, after coming through her paternity battle with Murphy and rejuvenating her career thanks to TV talent show Dancing With The Stars and the subsequent Spice Girl reunion, Brown is eager to have a big proper party to celebrate her marriage... albeit rather late.

Bride to be: Melanie Brown arrives at top wedding designer Monique Lhuillier's store to try on bridal gowns

The pop star and film producer are preparing to renew their vows in a romantic ceremony in Egypt in December - 18 months after their original ceremony.

And it appears the couple's are preparing for a lavish, expensive wedding after Brown was spotted shopping for bridal gowns in top wedding designer Monique Lhuillier's Los Angeles boutique yesterday.

Dressed casually in beige sweat pants and a white vest, Brown tried on several wedding gowns - away from the gaze of the paparazzi outside - and flamboyant necklaces.

A host of Hollywood stars have opted for bridal gowns by Lhuillier, including Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Alicia Silverstone, Pink and Natalie Imbruglia.

Wedding plans: Brown and a friend look excited as they go to look for wedding dresses

Speaking of the forthcoming ceremony, photos of which have reportedly been sold in an exclusive magazine deal, Brown said: 'We decided when we got married that we were going to do a nice little intimate ceremony for our friends and family and that's what we're going to do before Christmas.'

In an interview earlier this year, Brown admitted she had sworn off men after her devastating split from Murphy, but Belafonte had persuaded her to trust the opposite sex again.

She said: 'I was over any kind of relationship. I had known Stephen for seven years; we were friends. He's known where I've been, what I've done, who I've been. I knew he was a good guy.'

As well as baby Angel Iris, Brown is stepmother to Belafonte's daughter Giselle and has a nine-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi from her first marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar, which lasted a year.

Mel B 'Moving On'

Mel B won't release songs about her ex-lover Eddie Murphy because she has "moved on".

The former Spice Girls singer, who is currently working on a solo album, has changed her mind about revealing details of their bitter split and decided to drop tracks 'Second Hand Lover' and 'Reflections In A Broken Mirror'.

Mel told New! magazine: "I was keen to keep those songs in and then I thought, 'Why am I giving this jerk any reference? I have moved on!' "

Earlier this year, Mel revealed she wanted to get her revenge on Eddie by penning hate-filled songs about him.

The 33-year-old singer was keen to vent her frustration at the 'Beverly Hills Cop' star because she claims he rarely sees the pair's 18-month-old daughter Angel Iris.

Mel said: "The working title on my new song is 'Beverly Hills C**k' because that is what he is. He never bothers with his daughter. I mean, what kind of man is that?"

However, Mel later admitted she may have to tone down the lyrics after Eddie's lawyers said they wanted to listen to the LP before it was released.

Eddie dumped Mel on a Dutch TV show while she was pregnant with Angel, and then questioned the paternity of his baby.

A DNA test later proved he was the father.

Scary Spice invites strangers to wedding

In relation to the revious article here is the article from the mirror

When Melanie Brown renews her marriage vows at least she'll recognise the groom - even if the wedding guests are a bunch of strangers.

Scary Spice tied the knot with Stephen Belafonte just 15 months ago in a low-key, secret affair.

Now she wants to do it again with lots more pizzazz, but that costs money.

So the happy couple have agreed to let their big day be featured in OK! magazine for an estimated £200,000 - on the condition that the ceremony in a posh resort in Egypt is witnessed by a host of celebs.

But having made her home in America for the past four years, Mel's British A-list mates are in short supply.

And although the other Spice Girls are invited, work commitments may get in the way.

It has left Mel scrabbling around to invite stars she's never actually spoken to, luring them with the promise of firstclass flights and a luxury hotel.

So far, Fearne Cotton, Sarah Harding, Denise Van Outen and Rachel Stevens have all been invited - but sadly none of them are able to attend. Our source reveals: "Mel and Stephen wanted a lavish do to celebrate their relationship. They agreed to allow the event to be covered by a magazine but are obliged to fulfil certain requirements.

"One of these is a certain quota of well-known faces - family and close friends simply won't do.

"Most of her friends now are American and Mel keeps herself away from the showbiz scene in London. And she has felt slightly pressured into inviting celebs she's not actually met. But whatever happens Stephen or Mel will have a fantastic day."

The couple, who have known each other for years, always planned to have a bigger wedding once the Spice Girls' tour was over.

They got together after Mel's acrimonious split with Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy.

Film producer Stephen proposed after burying an engagement ring in an ice cube, and dropping it in her champagne. Ahh!

Mel B Will Never Move Back to The UK

Spice Girls star Mel B says she will never give up her life in America to move back to the UK.

The former Dancing With The Stars contestant currently lives with her two children and husband Stephen Belafonte in Los Angeles, and insists she has no plans to move back to her homeland.

She says, "Things have definitely moved along, that's for sure. Living in America has been really fun and a really positive experience for me. I've been living in Los Angeles for nearly six years now and I consider that my home, even though I'm from Leeds. I love it, the sun shines every day."

Mel has carved out a successful TV career since finishing as runner-up on Dancing With the Stars last year.

After appearing as a contestant, the 33-year-old star returned to the programme as a backstage interviewer.

Mel can currently be seen co-hosting reality show The Singing Office -- which sees office workers compete in karaoke competitions -- with former *NSYNC star Joey Fatone.

POSH: SPICE GIRLS LOOKED LIKE DRAG QUEENS

VICTORIA Beckham says she cringes when she looks back at the outfits the Spice Girls used to wear. The former Spice added that the girls, Geri in particular, looked like a group of drag queens. While looking at a picture of the group at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards, she told Allure: "Good God. This is the worst we ever looked. We looked like five men dressed as women.""Can you imagine getting any more make-up on your face? "Look at Geri - what does she look like? We all joke about this now, actually. You know, fashion changes."The style icon added: "Rather than ever looking back at my clothes and cringing, I look back at the make-up and cringe. "It looks like someone beat me up and pushed me onto the stage. None of the clothes were really that fabulous in the Spice Girls, you know."

Spice up your ... wardrobe

It looks like former Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, has finally woken up and realised what the rest of us have been thinking all along - the Spice Girls looked like drag queens!

In a recent interview she was shown a photo of the fab five all frocked out back in their hey-day.

Apparently the old pic was extremely cringe-worthy to Vic, the now-fashionista.

"Good God! This is the worst we ever looked. We looked like five men dressed as women!"

Apparently it wasn't just their choice of wardrobe that copped it from Vic either.

"Can you imagine getting any more make-up on your face? ... It looks like someone beat me up and pushed me onto the stage."
