The trio giggled as the 40-year-old attempted to preserve her modesty in the short dress.

Miss Halliwell did not appear to mind that the whole episode had been captured by nearby photographers, flashing the cameras a smile.

The mother-of-one added gold ballet flats to the dress, which had a flouncy skirt and low-cut neckline.

Her party dress could have been for celebrations for her daughter Bluebell, who turned five on Friday.

Miss Halliwell welcomed her daughter in 2006 at London's Portland hospital.

Bluebell's father is Sacha Gervasi, whom she dated for six weeks in 2005. The American screenwriter married heiress Jessica de Rothschild in December.
