AFTER months of speculation, Spice Girl Mel B has been confirmed as a judge on The X Factor.
Channel 7 is expected to announce this week that the pregnant star will replace Kyle Sandilands on the show.
She will join Ronan Keating, Guy Sebastian and fellow newcomer Natalie Bassingthwaighte on the revamped judging panel.
The singer has twice hinted on Twitter that something was in the pipeline, including sending a message to UK X Factor judge Dannii Minogue.
"Hey there. Need your help with something about something," said her message to Minogue on April 11.
Previously known as Scary Spice or Melanie Brown, Mel B is opinionated and straight to the point, which is perfect for The X Factor.
Married to film producer Stephen Belafonte, Mel B is due to give birth in June or July, just weeks before The X Factor begins.
She already has two children, Phoenix, 12, to dancer Jimmy Gulzar, and Angel, 4, to actor Eddie Murphy.
