The Spice Girls will sensationally snub the Brit Awards, I can reveal.
The awesome five piece have been on standby for the past couple of weeks following their nomination for Most Memorable BRITs Performance of the last 30 years.
But organisers have refused to tell the girls whether they have won or not, leading to the girls deciding not to reunite for the show.
A source reveals: “The girls were going to try and be there. Nowadays with their hectic schedules it’s a nightmare trying to get them in the same place at the same time. But they were going to make it happen.
"Victoria would have flown in from New York Fashion Week and Mel C was going to get the night off Blood Brothers on the West End.
“But they were only willing to make it happen if it was worth all the effort and they won. But the Brits people refused to tell them either way, so they decided they’d be represented by a couple of them in case, but won’t make the effort to get them all together. It’s a real blow.”
The only Spicies that will grace the ceremony will be Geri Halliwell and Mel B. I guess at least Geri will be there – after all it’s her iconic Union Jack dress that we all remember so vividly in the 1997 performance of Wannabe/Who Do You Think You Are – that’s up for the gong.
This year’s Brits seem to have had a tough time persuading big acts to turn up.
Coldplay, Travis, Oasis, The Verve, Keane, Duffy, Sade and Dido have all failed to confirm whether they will attend.
One of these acts will pick up the Best Album of 30 Years gong – but as things stand will record a video acceptance speech!
Fortunately the other artists will keep us all up to the minute.
Lady Gaga is bound to steal the show – with a tribute to the late designer Alexander McQueen, while JLS, Kasabian and Robbie Williams will ensure that it’s a ceremony to remember.
