BRIGHTON-LE-SANDS isn't a suburb you'd normally associate with international celebs.
But that's exactly where Spice Girl Melanie Brown and hubby Stephen Belafonte chose to celebrate their birthdays on Wednesday night.
"We are going to have a lot of fun here," Belafonte said. "We'll surf some waves and get eaten by a great white."
Rockdale's Bianco Italian restaurant was the venue for an intimate dinner with six friends, including Angel, Mel's daughter to Eddie Murphy.
Gold and black leopard-print balloons festooned the table.
After dinner, everyone huddled around the couple for a Happy Birthday sing-a-long.
The couple kept it an early night though, picked up by a waiting SUV just after 10pm.
