Peter Andre has claimed that Geri Halliwell and Mel B were "mortified" after forgetting to thank their former Spice Girls bandmates at the Brit Awards.
The singers picked up the 'Performance of 30 Years' gong for their 1997 rendition of 'Wannabe'/'Who Do You Think You Are'.
Writing in his column for New, Andre said of Halliwell: "She was so upset and felt really silly, which I found endearing.
"I did my best to console her and said she shouldn't worry about it... I was trying to be 'Uncle Pete' all night, reassuring everyone about their nerves and whatnot."
Speaking to ITN right after the ceremony, Halliwell explained: "It's just the excitement. That's why I forgot to thank the girls when we first got the award.
"I was thinking, 'I've got to thank Melanie, Victoria and Emma' and I completely forgot, I was so excited."
