I love being sexy on stage.. and i get to keep the costumes -Mel B

Miss B-haviour ... saucy Mel in skimpy gear

SAUCY MEL B has the body of an angel and the mouth of a trucker – and shows off plenty of both in her filthy new Las Vegas musical which opens tonight.

In Peep Show the former Spice Girl prances around wearing next to nothing and drags men on stage from the audience to strip them.

The Sound Of Music it ain’t.

As her character Peep Diva she sings lewd lyrics such as: “If you want to feel a pr**k then I know a little trick” and “If you want him in a jiffy to give you a... ”, er, I’m sure you get the picture.

Mel, 33, is in the home of sleaze to play the ballsy sexual mentor to an innocent girl in the bizarre tale of erotic bedtime stories.

The plot, which is revealed through a string of sexed-up nursery rhymes and children’s tales, sees Peep Diva help timid Bo Peep to find love and happiness.

Diva tells Bo, played by Kelly Monaco, that there are only two things a girl needs to get on in life — and there are lots of them on display in this kinky show.

Good to see girl power alive and kicking...

Mel says: “I get men on stage and tell them, ‘You haven’t had enough sex for my Bo’, or ‘You’ve had too much sex for my Bo’, Then I find a guy who has had just the right amount of sex for my Bo.”

It’s like Blind Date with blindfolds — yet sold as a “classy, premier night out in Las Vegas”.

The show opens with Mel telling the crowd: “The louder you cheer, the more you get to see” and ends with her insisting: “Now you all go and get laid.”

She insists she decided to do the show after being approached by director JERRY MITCHELL, although her friends suspect her husband, film producer STEPHEN BELAFONTE, had a say in her career move towards stripping.

'I get to be flirty and naughty.
I have a lot of sex in this show.'

Mel adds: “My husband enjoys it — but he knows all of the ladies so it’s fine. It’s not like the girls are hanging out in my dressing room with just their panties on.

“They’re all performers. It’s like a big girl gang. I’m glad to be part of that.”

The moral of the story is that women should get their kit off and put themselves about to get on. It’s fair to say it is less of a Peep Show and more of an eyeful.

And after her final preview performance yesterday she gave The Sun the full Mel B treatment in her dressing room. Scary Spice? Completely Terrifying Spice would be better.

Attacking me with a skimpy bra, she says: “I’m loving it. I get to be flirty and naughty. I don’t mind saying I have a lot of sex.

“We’re in the sexiest costumes and I get to take them home. I’m keeping them at the end of the run. They’re a bit flimsy to say the least.”

Then she turned to me adding: “Here, put this one on — it’s pretty and pink.”

At least husband Stephen must be enjoying her routine — he doesn’t even have to brave Las Vegas’s Planet Hollywood to see it.

But despite Mel’s upfront attitude to Peep Show’s lewd content, at times it has proved a bit much even for the former Scary Spice.

She admits she had to get a bit of help to be able to get up on stage and perform in some of the more, ahem, colourful sections.

Mel reveals: “My friend hypnotised me before I started rehearsals to make sure I had a real open mind.

“I was getting a bit nervous. My anxiety was getting to me so I was hypnotised to calm me down — and it worked.”

It’s lucky the Leeds lass seems to have found her spiritual home stripping in front of drunken Vegas revellers — as she told The Sun there is no chance of the SPICE GIRLS ever performing, insisting last year’s reunion was definitely their swansong.

But at least that gives her former bandmates plenty of time to visit her new home city to watch the show.

Mel adds: “All the girls are going to be coming throughout my run. We all support each other 100 per cent.

“But that was our last Spice Girls tour. We all love and support each other but that was the final whammy. We are all going in our own directions and all do completely different things. But I think they’ll all love it.”

After six years in Los Angeles, Mel has moved the family — Stephen and kids Phoenix Chi, ten, and EDDIE MURPHY’s daughter Angel, two — to Vegas while she does the show, and a return to the UK doesn’t seem to be on the cards.

She says: “I’ve been in America for six years and this is my home now. But I don’t know what is round the corner.

“I might get a job in England for two years and move back there. But this is what I’m doing right now.

“I like Los Angeles a lot, once you find your people and the places you like to hang out. It’s a bit over the top but once you get over that it’s fine. I’ve just sold one of my LA houses — but I did have four.”

While Mel insisted her daughters are happy living in the gambling capital of the world, she made it clear they won’t get to see their mum’s new starring role.

She said: “The kids love it here. They get to hang around with me and the rest of the dancers — but always fully clothed. They won’t be seeing the show because it’s for over-18s.”

Peep Show is billed as “the sexiest new show on the planet” on the glittering billboards around Vegas.

And if sexiness is graded on the number of boobs on show then it probably is that.

But if you’re not a fan of men dressed as wolves simulating sex on stage then it’s probably not for you.

Even so, Mel gave it the hard sell, telling me: “You can dress one of the girls if you want. That would be fun for you.”

She adds: “I always said sexy things on stage in the Spice Girls tour.

“I love having the freedom to say whatever comes into my head.

“I am the right person to handle this show. Peep Diva is really an over-the-top version of me.

“I’m giving it grown-up Scary Spice and no one says no to me. I’m not mean to the boys we get up on stage — they get to give me a little hug.

“Some people get so nervous they just hang on to you and I’m like, ‘Can you get off? Nothing is going to happen to you’. It’s the perfect thing for me as I get to be provocative.”

And with her dirty cackle ringing in my ears, Mel thrusts a bra around my chest.

Sexiest show on the planet? Not sure about that.

Scariest? Definitely.
