THE colour red gets your heart racing, but it could also save you from heart disease, Britain's biggest killer.
Cardiovascular disease - the umbrella term for problems of the heart and circulatory system - kills 238,000 men and women every year.
The most common form, coronary heart disease, kills one in five men and one in six women.
But wearing red to work tomorrow and donating £1 to the British Heart Foundation's Red Heart Campaign could save thousands of lives - and make Friday the 13th lucky.
The money will go towards pioneering research, patient care, campaigning for change and providing vital information for sufferers and their families.
And you may reap other benefits, too.
A recent study by the University of Rochester found that men find women in red more attractive and sexually desirable in red.
Mum-of-three Victoria Beckham gets hearts racing, but coronary heart disease claims the lives of 89 mothers and 99 fathers die every day from coronary heart disease.
