Victoria Beckham has told friends she's "relieved" her soccer star husband David is returning to LA Galaxy after his Milan deal collapsed.
David - who is currently on loan at AC Milan from the American soccer club - has previously spoken of his desire to play permanently with the Italian football giants.
But AC Milan failed to meet a Major League Soccer deadline over any move on Friday, which could shatter David's hopes of playing for the European team.
And the former Spice Girl, 34, reportedly told pals at New York fashion week she is "gutted for David" but "relieved", because she loves LA.
Meanwhile, following AC Milan's 2-1 defeat by Inter Milan Sunday, David, 33, said it would be "difficult" for him to return to Galaxy.
"I've said I want to stay here and if I do go back then it will be a bit difficult," he said. "I'm a professional and if that's what I have to do I'll have to do it.
"There will more talks next week. I still want to stay and I have made that clear and hopefully we will get a decision soon, but it's out of my hands."
Beckahm's loan spell with Milan ends on 8 March.
