Emma Bunton works out three times a week
Emma Bunton has slammed fad diets as a ridiculous way to lose weight.
While her fellow Spice Girls are famous for trying bizarre and strict weight-loss regimes, Baby Spice insists she has always been sensible with food and didn't feel pressured to lose her baby weight immediately.
Emma said: "I think they're ridiculous because you honestly can't stick to them. As soon as you do go back you're going to put all that weight back on.
"After having Beau I took my time with it, I didn't actually get back to my weight properly for a year because I did it really gradually and I balanced and I worked out.
"The fad diets never work. Ever! Honestly. Unless you want a quick fix of course!"
The 33-year-old singer hopes she is a good role model in a 'size zero' world. She said: "I think there is a big pressure in the industry and it is scary.
"But I think the good thing, well I hope, that people see me is that I'm a very normal girl. I have got curves. I'm not really a yoyo, I just keep it balanced. I work out - try to work out - three times a week.
"And I love all types of food so I just vary it really and I do try and have a lighter dinner if possible, but that doesn't always work out if you're going out to dinner with your mates.
"It's just about having balance and trying to keeping everything healthy."
