Victoria Beckham has laughed in the face of the global economic downturn - by splashing out on expensive Christmas gifts for her husband and children.
The former Spice Girl - who is married to soccer star David Beckham - is is keen to make Christmas special, so spared no expense when it came to buying presents.
A source reveals, "Victoria is determined to make this Christmas extra special because David is off to Milan soon.
"She wants to give him a really good family Christmas at Beckingham Palace this year before they are parted for a while.
"Not only has she bought in the best food that money can buy, she has also bought David a mountain of presents - including a set of saucy lingerie for herself to wear. She really wants to make this Christmas one to remember."
