Spice Up Your Life? It seems the fading Spice Girls still managed to after Metro readers voted the fading quintet as the third biggest celebrities of 2008.

The five Spices certainly bagged the headlines in February after abandoning their world-beating tour following a string of bitch fights – which they unsurprisingly denied.

But it was largely Posh and Mel B that have peddled Spice legacy forward since with their entrepreneurial plans for success.

Posh pranced around both sides of the pond in a bid to sell herself to the world as a fashion designer. She finished the year eyeing up her next invasion on the globe, announcing she will follow her hubby to Milan on loan next year.

Mel B did it all after wedding her husband Stefan Belafonte for second time in Egypt, hosted the MOBO Awards and then stripped as a lingerie model for Ultimo.

Geri Halliwell turned herself into a children's author after retiring as a singer and went on tour to promote her collection of children's stories.

Emma Bunton slipped into the shadows to be a mum to her one year-old son Beau. There were rumours of a summer wedding to her boyfriend of a decade, Jade Jones but the summer came and went wedding bell free.

Mel C decided to follow the rest of the Spice clan into motherhood announcing her first pregnancy with boyfriend Thomas Starr.

But all admit they have seen their day in the sunshine after vowing never to reunite as a fivesome again! Glad you enjoyed it girls as much as we did…
