The pop icon took a relaxing break in Thurlestone, near Kingsbridge, with boyfriend Henry Beckwith.
The singer, 38, is dating the cousin of socialite Tamara Beckwith, and her 29-year-old boyfriend is said to be a regular visitor to the area. The couple met shortly after Geri split from her former fiance, Italian yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi.
Dressed casually, the member of the world's most successful girl band smiled and held hands with the son of international property tycoon John Beckwith, as they visited shops in the village.
Sam Acourt, barmaid at Thurlestone's Village Inn, said it was the first time the singer had been seen with Henry in the area, and she was keen to blend in.
She said: "I think they like coming here because they don't get bothered. They are really nice and relaxed. Henry is a regular, because his family comes down here a lot. It's the first time we've seen him with Geri. She was lovely – really nice and down-to-earth."
