That's real Girl Power... Mother and daughter time for Geri Halliwell as she shows off her fabulous bikini body

Celebrity mothers are often criticised for not spending enough time with their children.

So it's refreshing to see Geri Halliwell spending some quality time with her daughter as she holidayed in the south of France.

The 38-year-old basked in the sun with her current beau Henry Beckwith aboard a yacht in the waters off the coast, but much of her time was spent with five-year-old Bluebell.

In a leopard print two-piece that accentuated her fabulous toned physique to devastating effect, Geri spent some quality mother/daughter time with the youngster.

At one point she appeared to be engaged in deep conversation with Bluebell while, later in the day, they both slipped into life vests as Geri decided to let Henry pull her along on his jet ski.

Bluebell was born in 2006, father by Sacha Gervasi, a 40-year-old British-born screenwriter who lives in Hollywood.

In the years since her birth Geri has maintained a healthy figure thanks to Bluebell.

She once said: 'In the past, I always had my hang-ups, believing I wasn’t pretty enough, or a good enough singer, or thin enough.

'But now I’m much more accepting of myself. A lot of my body issues have naturally settled down.” the singer told the media a while back.

'I have a history of eating disorders but, as a mother, you think of being an example to your child. I’m so much more balanced than I was.'

Geri has been away with her lover for around two weeks now, they were last pictured play fighting aboard the boat with Henry trying to throw her into the water.

But although he even picked her up but she refused to let go.

The former Spice Girl was so determined not to be thrown in that at one point she nearly pulled Henry's his shirt off.

The couple started dating in March 2009, just days after Geri ended her brief engagement to Italian yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi.

Geri has described Henry as an 'Alpha male' personality and claims this is the reason why the pair have stayed together for so long.

She has said his strong personality means he won't let her push him around and said they have a lot in common and both enjoy being fun, active and playful.
