Mel B has revealed that she has never felt "body conscious" in Los Angeles.
The former Spice Girl, who moved to LA with her daughter Phoenix in 2003, explained that she doesn't feel under pressure in the notoriously image-obsessed city.
She told The Express: "There are lots of things I see and go 'Oh dear' but that's them, not me. I love LA. I've been there six years and love it.
"It's a body conscious world but for me it's not. We beat ourselves up so much, as long as you're eating healthily and working out you can't really complain."
The 35-year-old explained that she only felt the need to slim down after giving birth to her second daughter just over three years ago.
She added: "I never worked out before, it was only after I had Angel three and half years ago. You notice your metabolism slows down a bit, you feel sluggish. But I like the way my body is, I can go from super ripped to curvy, to not-so-curvy, to more muscular. I fluctuate."
