Scary outfit: Mel B manages to pull off revealing tracksuit-material jumpsuit

She's never been shy about her body - and it seems that even when Mel B is dressed down, she can't help showing off her curves.

The 35-year-old former Spice Girl was out and about in Los Angeles yesterday with her movie producer husband Stephen Belafonte and daughter Angel wearing a deeply unflattering jumpsuit.

The outfit was made out of unforgiving tracksuit material that most mere mortals wouldn't be able to get away with.

But even her fearsome physique couldn't prevent her from incurring the serious fashion fail.

The singer and reality star accessorised the suit with a black trilby and high heeled boots with cute bows on the ankles.

The family were at the Century City mall in LA as guests at R&B singer Christina Milian's daughter Violet's first birthday party.

Talking about maintaining her figure last week, mother-of-two Mel said that the Californian lifestyle made it easier to eat well and stay in shape.

She told the Daily Mail: 'It’s probably easier to eat well in LA — but that’s no excuse for not picking a healthy option wherever you are.

Monday to Friday I try to keep it as healthy as possible, but at weekends I eat what I want.

The star also said she wouldn't rule out plastic surgery to maintain her looks in the future - after speculation that she's already had breast augmentation.

She said: 'When things start to sag in ten or 15 years, I wouldn’t say no — although I hate needles. I don’t mind pushing my body during workouts, but with any other kind of pain I’m a complete baby.'

Mel added: 'I try to run at least three times a week. I’ve tried Pilates and yoga, but it’s only in the past three years that I’ve become more interested in keeping fit.'

Meanwhile, Mel is getting ready to make her return to music.

The star features on Ludacris track Lip Lock from his forthcoming album Ludaversal, due out later this year.
