X Factor bosses have played down claims that Geri Halliwell was unpopular at the show's auditions on Wednesday.
Earlier today, reports suggested that Halliwell had angered fans in Glasgow by rejecting a popular singer named Katie when she had the casting vote.
The former Spice Girl had been appearing as a guest judge on the panel, taking the place of pregnant star Dannii Minogue, who is currently taking maternity leave.
However, sources said that Halliwell was booed throughout the second half of the day following her controversial choice and was even heckled with chants of "Bring back Dannii! Bring back Dannii!".
Responding to the reports, an X Factor spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "There were reactions from the crowd. There were reactions to all the judges as much as there was to Geri."
Pixie Lott is expected to be the next guest panellist when the auditions move to Birmingham on Monday.
