FORGET the rumours you’ve heard about another Spice Girls tour.
And we heard it straight from one of the horse’s mouth.
Speaking to our Sonja, pictured, in the Absolute Radio VIP area at the Isle Of Wight festival, Mel C, 36, said: “There’s no chance of that happening.
“Don’t believe what you’ve read elsewhere, because I’m telling Daily Star readers we have no plans to tour again.
“We all have our own projects going on and have families too so we couldn’t find the time even if we wanted to.” The band last toured together in 2007, when they embarked on a three-month, sell-out trek across the globe.
Earlier this year they announced Girl Power was very much still alive by agreeing to a musical based on their chart toppers.
Viva Forever will be penned by the creator of Mamma Mia!
In the meantime, Mel is hard at work as a mum to her 15-month-old daughter Scarlet and is also recording a new album. She added: “I’m incredibly busy working on my solo record.
“Although if Simon Cowell called and asked me to be a guest judge on X Factor, I’d have to make the time as I’d love to do it.”
Mel’s solo career has had its ups and downs. Her first two solo albums were big sellers. The second two flopped in the UK, although saw success in Europe.
She has turned her hand to acting and earned critical acclaim as Mrs Johnstone in theatre favourite Blood Brothers. She was even nominated for a posh Laurence Olivier Award.
