Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm has said she will look back on her time in the West End show Blood Brothers with nothing but happy memories.
The Liverpudlian played Mrs Johnstone in the musical from October 2009 until spring this year and told WhatsonStage.com she loved it.
"I had such an incredible time playing the role," she enthused.
Charles Spencer of the Telegraph agreed, calling the singer "absolutely sensational" as the desperate matriarch.
He also said the musical is as good as Billy Elliot and urged London theatre fans to see it if they can.
Chisholm has now passed the role of Mrs Johnstone back to Niki Evans, a former X Factor contestant who is set to appear in Blood Brothers again until August 2010.
Blood Brothers has been showing at the Phoenix Theatre since 1991 and is a story about twin brothers who are separated at birth, but meet again many years later with explosive results.
