Mel B only shampoos twice a week

Former Spice Girl Mel B has said that she only washes her hair twice a week.

The singer revealed that she likes her scalp to sweat so that her hair stays silky and smooth.

'I only wash my hair twice a week and do a deep conditioning overnight mask that makes my scalp sweat, so you get all your natural oils back," the 34-year-old told the Daily Star.

Mel had previously shaved half of her head to have a mohawk like her daughter.

'All my kids were getting mohawks. I was like: 'I wanna join in'," she added.
