Mel B wants to have a child with husband Stephen Belafonte this year.

The Spice Girl is already mum to Phoenix, 11, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, and Angel, 2, with Eddie Murphy.

'I definitely want more kids by the end of this year or next year - now feels right to have another,' she tells Now.

Mel, 34, admits she's a tough parent.

'I'm quite a strict mum because I started young and I'm a single parent, so I had to be both dad and mum,' she says.

'But I'm goofy, too. Phoenix is always: "Don't say that!" I'm embarrassing.'
