VICTORIA BECKHAM'S FASHION COLLECTION STOLEN IN A KNIFE-POINT HIJACK

Victoria Beckham out in LA last night

No, not Victoria's own wardrobe of size double-zero frocks (if that was the case, the culprits could be narrowed down to Alexa Chung, LiLo and Marc Anthony), but her VB fashion-line...

According to the Mirror, the entire next season collection, believed to be between 50 and 75 dresses, were stolen from a lorry after it picked up the range from Posh's management offices in West London. A source told the paper:

“Everyone from Madonna to Elle Macpherson has been seen wearing Victoria’s dresses and, as a result, they’ve developed a money-can’t-buy exclusivity about them. This operation was meticulously planned. The thieves must feel they can make a fortune selling the collection on the black market.

“The lorry was on its way to the airport where the spring/summer collection was to be flown to New York designers Neiman Marcus.

“After pick-up from Victoria’s London offices, the van was followed to another address. The driver made a delivery and on his return he noticed the vehicle’s padlocks were broken.

“Two men then burst out of the back of the van and made off with two huge boxes of dresses. he driver was pushed to the ground and badly shaken but he immediately called the police.

“Victoria was informed straight away about the incident and was shocked and deeply saddened, although her first priority was the well-being of the driver.”

The gowns sell for up to £8,500 each, which might seem like a lot, but Victoria's ingenious designs, such as the above, now make it possible to eat AND look fashionable thanks to the special optical illusion print. So very clever - although we have seen the idea before.
