Friedman: 'Mel B won't join X Factor'

Brian Friedman has said that former Spice Girl Mel B will not be joining the X Factor judging panel next year.

The singer has been tipped to replace Dannii Minogue on the reality talent show.

However, choreographer Friedman told Metro: "I don't think Mel B is joining."

Of the relationships between Minogue, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole, he added: "I think the tension was higher between the judges. Everyone was competing this year.

"They all wanted to win! Dannii was really into the competition. She wanted to win. I know Cheryl is happy. She is the youngest, the newest."

Minogue has reportedly said that she is not interested in quitting the show, while Cole has also indicated that she will return next year.

Last month, Friedman suggested that he should replace Louis Walsh on the panel as he did briefly in 2007 to create an X Factor "dream team".
