Pete hooks up with ex Mel B

HE may have been shouting his single status from the rooftops these past few months but that hasn't stopped Peter Andre from meeting up with his old flame Mel B.

Despite the pair both being busy promoting their latest projects, they still found time to lunch with friends in London yesterday.

Pete, 36, and Mel, 34, had nine month fling in 1996 after meeting at a music magazine roadshow.

Pete even referred to the feisty former Spice Girl as "intense" and boasted about their bedroom antics after their brief but fiery romp.

Ex-wife Jordan was even said to be jealous about the passion the two shared, despite it happening years before she hooked up with Pete on I'm A Celeb.

Meanwhile, kicking off his stint as showbiz reporter on This Morning, Pete revealed today that he didn't want to speak out about Jordan's lovey dovey texts sent days before their divorce came through.

He added: "I was getting these texts from nowhere. Everyone's looking, everyone's going 'what?' The divorce messages were coming through too."

The reality TV star said he only made the messages public because he thought they were going to come out anyway.

But he rubbished any ideas that he's been with anyone else since the split.

"It hasn't happened yet," he said, adding: "It's a very clever things she's [Jordan's] done because whoever I end up with in the future, she's going to say: 'Ah I told you'. It's just a silly little game."

But yesterday the Aussie singer and Mel were all smiles as they greeted each other.

Kinky Mel had just come from her Loose Women guest host stint.

The curvy mum-of-two, who's looking trimmer than ever, even admitted on the show that she'd never rule out stripping for the cameras.

Meanwhile, Pete, 36, was busy promoting his new album at a London launch party.
