Mel shuns Baby(sitting) Spice

PREGNANT MEL C won’t be asking any of her SPICE GIRLS bandmates to babysit when her nipper is born.

The singer – who cradled her baby bump throughout her TV interview on AL MURRAY'S HAPPY HOUR – reignited rumours of a fall-out in the Wannabe stars’ camp when asked which Spice Girl she’d leave in charge of mini Mel for the evening.

She cheekily responded: “Any of their nannies!”

Mel was quick to repair the damage by insisting VICTORIA BECKHAM, MEL B, EMMA BUNTON and GERI HALLIWELL are all “really good mums”.

She also admitted to baulking at the prospect of a Spice Girls reunion when the phone call first came through.

But despite her initial dread, she’s glad they took their show on the road again.

Sporty said: “I actually didn’t want to do it.

“And when I received the phone call, it was the phone call that I had most dreaded in the last however many years since we were last together, seven years.

“But then thinking about it, and spending time with the girls and - now I’ve done it - it was amazing and I’m really glad I did.”
