Mel C reveals all about her bump... and which Spice Girl she would let babysit (Answer: Any of their nannies)

Pregnant Mel C is the last of the Spice Girls to start a family, and after waiting so long she won't be taking any chances when it comes to caring for her baby.

When asked which of her former bandmates she would put on babysitting duty she tried to avoid answering the question, before jokily admitting: 'Any of their nannies!'

But the 34-year-old was complimentary about the Spice Girls' mothering skills, insisting: 'Well they're all Mums and they're all really good mums actually.'

Fellow Spice Melanie Brown has two daughters, Victoria Beckham three sons, Geri Halliwell has one daughter and Emma Bunton has a son.

Melanie, who appears on Al Murray's ITV show this Friday, talked happily to the comedian about her growing bump.

She said she didn't know if she was expecting a boy or a girl.

'I don't know and I don't want to know,' she said. 'In the end I do, obviously.'

And Melanie also talked about last year's money spinning Spice Girls reunion tour.

'I actually didn't want to do it. And when I received the phone call, it was the phone call that I had most dreaded in the last however many years since we were last together, seven years.

'But then thinking about it, and spending time with the girls and - now I've done it - it was amazing and I'm really glad I did.'

Melanie, who has been with her partner Thomas Starr for six years, announced her pregnancy on her website last month.

The full interview with Mel C will be broadcast on ITV on Friday night at 10pm.
