'Stressed' Posh admits: I'm pulling out of my jeans war

Victoria Beckham appears to have dropped her High Court action against Los Angeles fashion label Rock & Republic for alleged loss of earnings.

The 34-year-old Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer is thought to have settled her case after a notice of discontinuance was filed at the High Court in London last week.

'Stressed' Posh, seen promoting her jeans line, has dropped her High Court action against Rock & Republic

Her £1.2million claim was due to be heard next month. But a source revealed Victoria wanted to end the battle in order to avoid the stress of having to appear in court personally – and because she feared she might end up footing the legal costs.

‘Victoria had meetings with her team who have advised her extensively on the case,’ said the source. ‘She just wants to move on and focus on her own successful line of clothing and draw a line under the matter.’

Posh signed up to be the face of Rock & Republic in 2003, and the firm agreed to make her own-label jeans, which sold for about £150 a pair. The singer claimed the company kept royalties owed to her.

The source added: ‘Victoria is tired and stressed out over the whole thing. She doesn’t want to spend any more time or money on it. She just wants a conclusion on the matter.’
