Mel B: 'No rivalry between me and Posh'

Move over Posh – another Spice is winning hearts and minds in Hollywood – Mel B.

Scary Spice called Guilty Pleasures to update us on her life, friends and plans for film glory, an album and a fashion range.

But the 33-year-old was quick to point out there was no real rivalry between her and Victoria Beckham.

The Spice Girls have never really been in direct competition with each other,' she insisted.

'I'm doing my own stuff and Victoria's fashion stuff is really well established but completely different.'

Mel B has found success since moving to the US.

'I've been doing really well,' said the star – real name Melanie Brown.

'I managed to get hold of Missy Elliot and Lil' Kim and they are up for doing some stuff.'

But she and husband Stephen Belafonte are gearing up for the big screen, too.

'We have a production company and we've just done a film with Eva Mendes and Nicholas Cage,' she told me.

But the name-dropping didn't stop there. 'I was riding alongside Seal the other day and we exchanged numbers,' added star-struck Brown.

'It was surreal. All the famous people I meet are really cool.'

Brown barely had enough breath left to tell me about her new advert for Virgin Media's Movies on Demand service.
