Mel B on GMTV
Mel B tells GMTV that she's too old for clubbing and loves her new laidback lifestyle
Mel B revealed on GMTV today she feels too old to go out clubbing.
Scary Spice admitted to GMTV's Carla Romano that she's called it a day on her party lifestyle – preferring instead to spice up her life with some home cooking!
Speaking from LA, the Leeds-born singer said: "I'm too old to do clubs. If it's a birthday party and things like that, then I'll do it. But I'm much more into home cooking, dinner parties, cinema, that kind of stuff."
The singer added she also loves the laidback lifestyle that LA gives her: "I love living in LA. I like visiting England a lot but I can't take the weather. It's just a very easy way of living I think."
Mel B is busy recording tracks for a new album she expects to have ready for release late 2008.
"It's an R&B-pop kind of thing, a cross between early Pink and Destiny's Child. That's what I do best, where I come from, what people know me for, I've recorded four songs so far with some really great people," she says.
One of the producers behind the album is Rodney Jekins, aka Darkchild, who previously worked with Brown on the Spice Girls' final studio album, Forever, in 2000.
