Victoria Beckham refused to launch her latest fragrance in London because she wanted to unveil the new scent in Manchester -- the same city she met her soccer star husband, David.
The 34-year-old former Spice Girl arrived at Manchester's swanky Harvey Nichols department store wearing a figure-hugging white dress and silver heels as she unleashed her new perfume, Signature, on the world.
Mom of three Victoria, who left her hubby at home, told the Manchester Evening News she was thrilled to swap LA for Northern England.
She said, "It was meant to be in London but I said no, I said please can I go to Manchester instead? I love Manchester, it's got a really good feel to it.
"So I thought why not - I usually spend a lot of time in London. I'm really excited about coming back because, of course, it's where I met David."
The night before, Posh went to the city's trendy Ithaca restaurant, where she wore a stylish black satin flared catsuit.
