Victoria Beckham eyes the food business after Eva Longoria Parker asks her to join Vegas restaurant launch

Ever since Victoria Beckham moved to LA she has been trying to carve out a new niche for herself there.

Now the 34-year-old ex-Spice Girl has been approached to launch a restaurant in Las Vegas with her new best friend, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker.

‘Eva owns a restaurant called Beso in Hollywood and is set to launch another in Vegas,’ says a source.

‘She asked Victoria to come on board and help.

'Victoria was thrilled and talked it through with her husband David, but he thought she was spreading herself a bit thin and should concentrate on what she was good at – running a successful fashion line and looking after the family.’

I’m told the Beckhams have reached a compromise – Victoria will get involved, but only to oversee the guest list for the launch night.

Eva and acclaimed chef Todd English opened Beso - Spanish for kiss - in March.

Since the grand opening, Eva has hosted many celebrity parties for her A-list friends.
