Victoria Beckham 'Receiving Treatment For Back Condition'

New mum Victoria Beckham is "resting and receiving treatment" for a back condition after reportedly aggravating an old injury as she gave birth to baby Harper.

The former Spice Girls star and her husband David became proud parents to their first daughter last month (Jul11), a little sister for their three sons.

Victoria Beckham has not been seen out in public since Harper was born, and reports emerged earlier this week (begs15Aug11) claiming she had suffered a slipped disc in her back while pregnant, which was antagonised when she gave birth.

Her spokesperson has now addressed the rumours, simply stating, "Victoria has a back condition. She is resting and receiving treatment."

Little Harper Seven gazes into the camera for her first ever close-up, reports the Daily Mail. The former Spice Girl wrote: “I took this beautiful picture and

Just the previous night, David displayed his latest inking after scoring for LA Galaxy, his daughter's name in fancy font.

The father-of-four, 36, removed his shirt after playing a key role in the club's 3-1 win over FC Dallas, and seemed cockahoop to cement his performance with a goal.

So it seems that his young daughter's name is quite the lucky talisman.

David's first baby girl with wife Victoria was born earlier last month and David gave a teasing glimpse of the new inking on his neck just weeks later during a television interview.

The inking sits just above his tattoo of Jesus being carried by three cherubs, which are meant to symbolise sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight and Cruz, six.

MANY will remember her as the trackie-wearing, muscled hard nut of the Spice Girls.

But 15 years on, glowing and beautiful, Melanie Chisholm is a totally different woman.

Crediting motherhood for “changing her life”, nowadays nothing riles the softly spoken star... except Rihanna.

Fiercely protective and in love with daughter Scarlet, she is vehemently opposed to the sexualization of children, and believes artists like Rihanna have a responsibility to censor any “inappropriate” performances.

Mel says: “It’s a very hot topic at the moment and is something we do have to talk about. People have to take some responsibility because we’ve got to a point where over-sexualisation of young children has gone too far.

“I think music is a big part of that. Women in music, very successful women, are extremely sexual and they have young fans. It is inappropriate.

“Rihanna has responsibility and although culture’s always changing, it’s changed too much. It needs to be dealt with. It’s reached saturation point, we owe it to our kids to protect them.

“Rihanna’s free to do as she pleases, of course, but I think her take on the criticism she’s had is interesting.

“I love Rihanna, I think she’s a f****** brilliant artist, with great songs, a great record and she looks fantastic... but she’s not a mum. Maybe if she becomes one she’ll feel different. I hope so anyway.”

It is a subject the Scouse singer feels passionately about, especially given her band were famously lambasted during their heyday... for wearing crop tops. She adds: “It’s a long time ago since the Spice Girls were first together and we were criticised for being sexual. Yes, we wore crop tops, I mean look how much has changed. But we always sat down as a group, be it in photoshoots, videos, interviews, and if somebody felt something was inappropriate for our young fans, we did something about it.

“And I think that’s something young people in the music industry today, like Rihanna, should do now.”

With a new single and album to promote, the Melanie C of 2011 is a markedly different prospect to the slightly self-conscious, hesitant young woman I first encountered five years ago. Exercise and weight-obsessed during the Brit pop years, she has since battled with both her weight and her confidence.

Today, she boasts a slim, enviably toned size eight figure and is, at 37, settled in her heavily tattooed skin.

Content with her long-term partner, property developer Thomas Starr, the couple celebrated the birth of their only daughter in February 2009.

A hands-on mum – “I had a little visitor in the middle of the night last night...” – Melanie has also thrown herself into work, determined to secure Scarlet’s future and make her proud.

Sipping a mineral water in her publicist’s North West London offices, she says with a smile: “Becoming a mum has changed me and my entire outlook. It’s actually made me more determined to succeed and make Scarlet proud.

“Of course it’s important I can provide for her but I grew up in a very different time and so financially, that’s never been as much of a motivation.

“She’s changed my life in so many ways, it’s so hard to express it. I feel so much more confident as a woman. I was lucky, I had a great life before. Sure, I’ve had tough times, personal problems, battles to overcome but I had a great relationship and career before. But when my little girl came along, the sunshine came out.

“Like all parents it’s such hard work. It’s a terrifying job. You’re always worrying about doing the right thing, and thinking people are laughing at you pushing the pram for the first time cos you’re doing it all wrong.

“It puts everything else in perspective, and there’s something incredibly liberating about joining this club.

“I met new mums, new friends, through NCT classes and it becomes something to identify with. You strike up conversations with people.

“Nothing prepares you for being a mum. Those first few months were really hard. Finding your feet, getting to know your child, coping with the lack of sleep... you simply go into survival mode. It’s exhausting but my daughter is the light of my life... it’s just so hard trying to express that verbally.”

After making a successful West End theatre debut in Blood Brothers – she received a Laurence Olivier nomination – Melanie has returned to the studio for the first time in four years, ahead of her new album, The Sea.

Released on her own label, Red Girl Records, she again credits motherhood for making this album her most “courageous” to date. A one-time fitness fanatic, she now trains three times a week and last month completed the VirginActive London Triathlon – coming first in her women’s group.

Fifteen years ago she suffered from anorexia, but nowadays is happy to eat whatever she wants, whenever she wants. Again, something she puts down to being a mum.

But with more and more children shunning family meals for lazy TV dinners, the singer is intent on creating a stable family life for her toddler.

Dating for nearly 10 years, Melanie has insisted previously she is reluctant to marry in case it “ruins” the trio’s happy set-up.

However, today she admits the couple, keen for more children, are considering marriage, although they’re in no rush to walk down the aisle.

Melanie says: “I did have problems with my eating but it’s something which is prevalent in our culture today... men, women and children, even. Because of these external pressures, it was important to me Scarlet had a healthy attitude to food.

“I felt that was my responsibility.

“We eat very healthily at home but we have lots of treats. We try to eat meals together as it’s important to provide structure in her life. At weekends we love taking her to restaurants and she’s pretty sophisticated. Scarlet loves noodles and pasta. She has sushi sometimes. She wants to try absolutely everything.

“Thomas and I have talked about marriage and it would be very cool to have Scarlet as a bridesmaid.

“But we don’t feel it’s something we need to do right now. Scarlet is actually going to be a flower girl next year at my sister’s wedding. We’d love more children.”

In contact with all the Spice Girls – she exchanged birthday messages with Geri Halliwell on her 39th over the weekend – Melanie was the last person to see Victoria Beckham before the birth of her daughter, Harper Seven. She says: “I was working in LA with Melanie B when Victoria was about to give birth.

“I went around to their house the night before and was drinking red wine while Victoria was being a very good pregnant lady and not drinking red wine. It was so lovely seeing her. They were just so excited about the prospect of having a little girl.”

Melanie is happy to consider a second band reunion if the quintet get asked to perform at next year’s Olympics – an idea which has been widely mooted. She says: “We’ve exchanged messages since the birth and Victoria sounds so happy.

“I think the Olympics is a brilliant idea and I’d love to do it although everyone always thinks I’m the one to put the kibosh on things. But will it happen? I don’t know.

“All I know is that I would never want to neglect being a good mum.” And with that, the star is beaming again. In fact, interviewing her, you get the impression Melanie is physically restraining herself from getting out the baby album during any lull in conversation.

Unconcerned by celebrity tittle-tattle, she admits to being behind on gossip but “just about OK with what’s happening in music”. Melanie, it is safe to assume, will not be pictured stumbling out of London’s Met bar any time soon. She says: “I haven’t been clubbing for a few years. Every morning I’m so excited getting up at 7am to see my little girl’s face and have a cuddle, before breakfast together.

“Everything changes when you’re a mum, everything. I find myself talking about the best nappies, the best CBeebies shows or the cutest kids’ clothes.

“Whenever I go to the pictures now it’s always to see an animated movie. My life has changed in every way and I wouldn’t change any of it.”

Now that's what I call a flawless performance! British pop goddess Melanie C is back in the UK to start making the promotional rounds in support of her new album "The Sea" (out on September 13th) and the new single "Think About It" (hits digital retailers on September 4th).

The ex-Sporty Spice appeared last night (August 6th) on popular BBC 1 show 'Tonight's the Night'. There, she performed "Think About It" and it was SO flawless. Fierce singing and stage attitude. The song is REALLY good and might become Mel C's first hit in the UK after a loooong time. Although, I praise the Gods of wisdom, that her team realizes releasing "Think About It" on September 4th is suicide! Melanie would be competing head-to-head with Leona, Blink, The Saturdays and Pixie Lott! Her team needs to push the single release up or back one week. Oh, Melanie also performed with a contestant of the BBC show her classic hit "When You're Gone", originally sang along Bryan Adams and released in 1999.

Following in the tradition of Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and American Idiot, The Spice Girls are the latest musical act to be getting a musical made around their songs, and Emma Bunton can’t wait.

The former member of the girl group said that she can’t wait to see the show, which is expected to open next year, but she has been sworn to secrecy over the plotline.

“It’s going to be amazing. I’ve heard a little bit about the story but it’s top secret,” she said.

The story is being written by Ab Fabs’ Jennifer Saunders, and the musical is called Viva Forever while being produced by the team responsible for bringing Mamma Mia to the stage.

Mel C has admitted that she wouldn’t have the life that she does without the help of her fellow former Spice Girls.

The 37-year-old singer, who is mother to two-year-old Scarlet, said that the support she gets from Emma Bunton, Mel B, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham is second to none.

“I am thankful to my ex-colleagues. My current life would be impossible without them. We support each other 100 per cent,” she told the Daily Star.

And talking about Victoria’s new daughter, Harper Seven, she added, “I was in LA the day before Victoria gave birth so we met and swapped baby tips. I really like the name Harper.

“It’s better for people to be creative than for everyone to have the same name.”

She also admitted that motherhood can be more exhausting that a pop career. “If I go to work, it’s like a holiday,” she said.

INCOMING Australian X Factor judge Mel B has had a baby shower with a swag of celebrity guests at her home where Moet Ice was on tap.

People.com reports Kim Kardashian, Denise Richards (with her daughters), Hank Baskett (with son Hank IV), Cheryl Burke and Brittny Gastineau turned up at the bash, held poolside at the former Spice Girl's home in Los Angeles.

DJ Lindsay Luv played Brown's favorite tunes, and the Hollywood favorite Pink's Hot Dogs. Guests also nibbled on tuna tartare and sipped Moët Ice on tap.

The kids in attendance enjoyed a bounce house movie theater and – as a special treat to the parents – the couple arranged for private nannies to keep an eye on the little ones.

Emma will be back in front of the mic from this Saturday 6th August to present her weekly show across the Heart network from 4pm to 7pm, as she plays the best variety of music, reveals the latest showbiz news and shares a secret or two about her life as a busy mum!

Emma joined Heart in June 2009 to host The Saturday Show and in May this year, she gave birth to Tate, her second baby boy with her fiancée Jade. Their first son, Beau, is four years old this month.

Temperatures rocketed to 92F (33C) yesterday in London, so the former Spice Girl, who turns 39 on Saturday, was wearing a cool-looking pinstripe mini skirt with a wavy hem and matching bra top.

The singer turned swimwear designer had teamed the Viktor and Rolf summer outfit with mushroom coloured patent leather platform high-heeled sandals.

Melanie was ecstatic yesterday after competing in her first ever Triathlon. Melanie well and truly lived up to her 'Sporty Spice' nametag by coming first in the Female Individual Virgin Active VIP Sprint with a fantastic time of 01:34:05! Out of all the female competitors in the Sprint, Melanie came a very, very respectable 58 out of 562. Not bad eh? Seems Melanie has caught the Triathlon bug and is already considering signing up for next year already...

She was widely regarded as the most talented member of the Spice Girls and had a hugely successful solo career but Melanie Chisholm has been keeping a low profile in recent years.While her bandmates Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Halliwell have all been pursuing TV careers or launching into the fashion spectrum, the 37-year-old has been treading the boards in West end play ‘Blood Brothers’.However Melanie C, otherwise known as Sporty Spice, is launching back into the spotlight with her brand new album ‘The Sea’.”It was really fantastic [theatre], but I really missed my music,” she tells Starlounge in an exclusive interview. “It was time for me to make a new record.”Melanie, who has sold more than 10 million records as a solo-artist, says she has been inspired by her two-year-old daughter Scarlet who has begun bursting into song recently.”She has started singing, she sings mommy’s songs, just the odd line here and there and it is very cute,” she says.It’s been three years since the Spice Girls reunited for a world tour, but Melanie insists that they still make time for each other, especially now they are all mothers.”We get together with our children when there are birthdays or some other occasion,” she says.”When Victoria is in London we see each other, too. Scarlet was the baby for a long time, she was the youngest but now Emma had a little boy, Victoria has had Harper and Mel is due to give birth any minute, so mine is not the youngest! The Liverpudlian has spoken out against the skimpy outfits worn by the three pop princesses, saying that the current trend for wearing next to nothing is becoming their focus rather than concentrating on their music.

With recent images of Gaga in see though tops and bizarre revealing outfits, Perry constantly flashing her outstanding cleavage and Britney going all out to impress her male followers, it’s all becoming a bit to much for the clearly prudish Scouser.

“It sends the wrong message to teenage girls,” she said to The People. “They have great voices and don’t need to take their clothes off. People are going a little too far.”

I’m sure others will say the same out the comments. My sister has been a stage school dancer since the age of six, and her costumes have been no less revealing than some of those worn by the likes of Perry and Spears. It’s the showbiz profession. It comes with a “got it so flaunt it” tag. It’s the way it is.

Melanie, who already has two daughters from previous relationships, Phoenix, 12, and three-year-old Angel Iris, has been friends with Kim for several years.

The Kardashian sister’s presents clearly went down a treat with Mel, who wrote her thank you notes on social networking site Twitter.

Geri Halliwell has revealed that she is gearing up to make her musical comeback.

The 38-year-old former Spice Girl has not released a single since 2005, but she said that she has made an album and landed herself a record deal.

Unveiling her new line of evening dresses for British store Next, she told The Mirror, “The album’s pretty much finished. I’m not sure on dates yet and I won’t tell you what it sounds like, because I’d prefer to let the songs speak for themselves.

“But it’ll be great to be back where I belong, on stage. It won’t be long.”

The mother-of-one showed off her deep tan, which has been acquired over the past month sunning herself in exotic locations with boyfriend Henry Beckwith.

Geri by Next consists of six full length occasion dresses which will be available from early October 2011 starting from £89 in sizes six to 22.

Emma Bunton has told how she and fellow ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham have been swapping baby tips after becoming mums again just weeks apart.

The 35-year-old - once known as Baby Spice - gave birth to Tate Lee Jones in May.

‘As soon as we can possibly meet up, we will. But for the moment we’re making do with emails,’ Miss Bunton told Hello! magazine.

The Dancing On Ice judge said she shares a strong bond with her former band mates – especially now they are all mothers.

‘The first bouquets through the door were from Victoria, Geri (Halliwell) and Mel C. They came with little notes and that is always special to me, to get those from the girls.

'The relationship we girls have will always be special. Now our kids are friends too and as they grow, it will be wonderful to watch them all and the different stages in their lives.'

Miss Bunton gave birth to Tate at London's Portland Hospital on May 6 and said she and Jones both sobbed when they held the 7lb bundle.

She said: 'Mum was busy snapping away with her camera and there is one shot of the three of us: Tate is in my arms and I have tears pouring down my face, Jade is kissing me and he's streaming with tears. It was very emotional!'

After originally announcing her pregnancy last November, the Dancing On Ice judge revealed in February she was expecting another boy with Jones.

And in January, the couple revealed they were engaged after 11 years together.

Miss Bunton has previously spoken of her fears she would never conceive after being diagnosed with endometriosis when she was 25.

'I've been so worried for such a long time that I might not be able to be a mum.'

But the white bag will be off the scale for most budgets, with a price tag of £8,995.

It was among the items unveiled by upmarket store Selfridges today, which are thought to be the hottest for this Christmas.

Selfridges showed off the items at its Oxford Street store in London, many of which have a white theme. They include a £620 wedding dress by Brazilian designer Daniella Helayel and white silk underwear by Nichole de Carle featuring a real diamond, at £300.

For the run-up to Christmas, the store is selling the ultimate advent calendar for the super-rich costing a colossal £18,000. It consists of a piece of furniture containing a miniature designer accessory for each day including shoes by Christian Louboutin.

Selfridges' White Christmas 2011 will launch in the retailer's stores in Birmingham, Manchester and London, and on Selfridges.com, from next month.

There are also cashmere babygrows by Baby Dior costing £550.

Mel B has said that she and husband Stephen Belafonte want the sex of their unborn baby to remain a surprise.

The former Spice Girl, who announced in March that the couple are expecting their third child, will give birth before the end of the summer, but admitted that she had done little to prepare for the child's arrival.

Pregnant Mel B has admitted that all she wants to do is eat.

The 36-year-old former Spice Girl is expecting her third child – her first with husband Stephen Belafonte – and said that she has decided to abandon her exercise regime and just relax.

"I just want to eat! I felt really sick for the first three or four months, so I didn't really want to work out," she told InTouch weekly. "I'm just relaxing with the family. I'm going to work out after."

With millions in the bank and little else to worry about, Geri Halliwell obviously has a lot of spare time on her hands.

So it's hardly a surprise that she has spent the majority of the last month or so sunning herself in various exotic locations.

The former Spice Girl is currently spending time topping up her tan in Porto Cervo, Sardinia with her boyfriend Henry Beckwith.

Showing off her toned figure in a skimpy turquoise two-piece bikini Geri, who turns 39 next month, appeared relaxed and besotted with her man.

She soaked up the rays in the holiday resort and frolicked with her lover, the cousin of former IT girl Tamara Beckwith.

The couple played with a camera, no doubt taking plenty of holiday snaps for the album.

Last month Geri spent some time with her lover and her daughter, Bluebell, in the south of France where they holidayed aboard a luxury yacht.

But during the last few weeks they have been in Sardinia. And it hasn't all be totally relaxed - Geri has indulged in some exhilarating watersports, including waterskiing while she's been away.

Recalling the first time they met on a beach, she told the Mail On Sunday's You magazine earlier this year: 'He was bright red, but that’s because of his skin tone.

She explained: 'It takes a hell of a strong man to be with someone like me. I think he has a strong enough sense of self, but what I love about him is that he loves me for me.

'He’s strong and very kind. He won’t let me push him around. He’s the first alpha male I’ve gone out with and that’s why it’s working. He makes it a little bit challenging sometimes, but I love it that he’s a strong man.

'I have a lot in common with Henry: we’re both fun, active, sporty. I’m very playful, I’m like a tomboy in certain ways. But for me the most important thing is integrity, loyalty and spirit, the kindness of the person.'

Earlier this month it was announced that Geri will be following in the footsteps of her former Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham and designing a range of evening gowns.

She will be creating a range of dresses for high street store Next, for whom she has already designed a line of swimwear.

TRAINING for a triathlon is serious stuff, even if you happen to be the most sporty Spice Girl of them all - Melanie C.

The mum of one is about to take part in the world's largest triathlon event - the Virgin Active London Triathlon on July 30 - when she will join more than 13,000 others to swim, cycle and run to the finish line.

Melanie, 37, says: "I got my nickname Sporty Spice because I have always been sports mad.

"I remember when I was 14 I broke the school record for the high jump - I even beat the boys, so it really was girl power from a very young age.

"I love all sports but it was Geri Halliwell who introduced me to the gym back in 1994.

"In 2003 I took part in a judo match during a Channel 4 programme called The Games. I fell awkwardly and ended up needing knee surgery.

"This had long-term ramifications. It's because of this that I took up cycling and swimming."

Melanie's partner, construction boss Thomas Starr, 44, is also passionate about cycling.

Mel says: "I have always wanted to do a triathlon so this year I took the plunge and signed up to this fantastic London one which I am about to do. I've loved the training and am really looking forward to the event.

"My little girl, Scarlet, is two and a half, so she keeps me very active with all her running around and trips to the park, but the triathlon has given me a goal to aim for in terms of my own fitness."

WHAT TO DO: After a warm-up, do this circuit twice, resting for a minute in between.

Step jump ... good for balance

A total body workout, great for your co-ordination and balance.

HERE'S HOW: Stand just less than a foot from your step, feet shoulder-width apart and arms by your sides.

Looking straight ahead, jump on to the step, using your arms to power you. Hold for a count of one, then jump down to complete one rep. Bend your knees slightly as you land.

Aim to do eight to 15 repetitions.

NICKI'S TOP TIP: To increase the intensity raise the step height and bring your knees up higher towards your chest.

Decline bench press-up

Decline bench press-up ... strengthens chest, tummy and upper arms

Tones and strengthens your chest, tummy and upper arms.

HERE'S HOW: Place your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart on the grass, with your feet on a bench, keeping your body in a line from head to heels. Your upper arms should be perpendicular to your body and you should be focusing on the grass.

Slowly bend your arms to lower your body until your elbows are at right angles. Return to the start making sure not to lock your elbows. Aim to do four to eight.

NICKI'S TOP TIP: Don't bounce in the press-up - make sure the movement is smooth.

Single-leg squat

Single-leg squat ... works thighs

Tones and strengthens legs, bum and thighs and is great for your balance and co-ordination, as well as strengthening the muscles that stabilise your knees and ankles.

HERE'S HOW: Supporting your weight on your right foot, raise your left heel behind you.

Extending your arms in front of you for extra stability, bend your right knee to lower yourself into a squat, without curving your back. Keep your working knee in line with your foot.

Return to an upright position to complete one rep. Aim to complete eight to 15 reps on each leg.

NICKI'S TOP TIP: Don't let your head dip as you squat. Grab some dumbbells if you want to push yourself.

The side plank

Side plank ... strengthens all deep tummy muscles, arms and waist

Tones and strengthens all deep tummy muscles, arms and waist.

HERE'S HOW: Lie on your side with your weight resting on your right elbow, keeping it directly below your shoulder.

Place your left foot on top of the right - keep your feet flexed and your toes pointing forward. Hold your body in a straight line from head to feet, making sure you keep your hips lifted throughout.

Aim to hold for 30 seconds to a minute, then repeat on the other side.

NICKI'S TOP TIP: For an extra challenge, lift your upper arm away from your body.

Training on a fuel stomach

WELLBEING'S nutritionist AMANDA URSELL says: "Training for a triathlon is no mean feat.You have to eat well if you want your body to reach its potential.

"Eating for energy is one of the main foundations to fuelling your training sessions. You need three regular meals a day and at least two nutritious snacks in between.

"You don't have to start eating huge amounts of food, just be clever about timing meals and snacks to ensure the calories you eat match your needs.

"Carbohydrates are crucial to fuel muscles during training and to top up stores afterwards.

"Melanie knows how important this is and builds things like oatcakes, cereal bars, rice, jacket potatoes and pasta into meals.

"You need to add protein - milk or eggs, meat or fish, pulses like baked beans or veggie options like Quorn and tofu to keep your muscles in good condition.

"Veg and fruits add vitamins and minerals which give us everything from energy to a strong immune system.

"Just before training have a small carbohydrate-based snack - a banana or a handful of dried fruits. If you are training for less than an hour, water is fine to drink. Over an hour, an isotonic sports drink can be useful.

"After training, if you are not going to eat a main meal within 30 minutes have another small carbohydrate-based snack like a few plain biscuits, a fruit yogurt or a cereal bar."

MELANIE SAYS: "I have learned to 'eat for energy'. When you are busy working and being a mum it is easy to leave gaps between meals but eating regularly and soon after training is important.

"Eating well has also improved my energy and concentration.

"I tend to stick with water rather than fancy sports drinks although I do like coconut water and have one 300ml carton a day.

"I've tried faddy diets. Now I'm training hard and eating a balanced diet. It's the way to go."

Her diet

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs and homemade oatcakes or muesli and a protein shake.

Mid-am: Fruit such as a banana or apple.

Lunch: Tuna with a jacket potato and salad.

Mid-pm: Oatcakes and a handful of nuts.

Dinner: Grilled fish with rice or quinoa and vegetables.

CHANNEL 7 is hoping its star X Factor judge Mel B has a safe birth and healthy baby next month - in order for the local multimillion dollar show to go ahead as planned.

Seven is looking for a home near the Harbour - either freestanding or a large apartment in the eastern suburbs - to house what will be Mel B's family of five during their three-month stay.

The one-time Scary Spice, who is now based in LA, will start filming live shows within weeks of the talent quest's August debut and has already filmed key segments which cannot be changed to cover any later absences.

But the talent quest could be derailed if something goes wrong with the pregnancy and birth - and fingers are crossed that it won't - before the live shows in September.

The mother-of-two and her husband Stephen Belafonte are expecting their first child together in mid-August and plan to move to Sydney for the series shortly after.

"She is planning to come over here and front her live shows after the prerecorded audition, bootcamp and mentoring episodes air in the first two to three weeks," a production source said.

" Seven is still looking for the right home for them at this stage, and it's still not known whether she will bring her nanny or hire one locally."

Mel B got to know other judges Guy Sebastian, Ronan Keating and new mum Natalie Bassingthwaighte during early filming in June.

We hear a creche is to be set up at the Moore Park studios.

"Mel's little daughter Angel and Nat's daughter Harper have already bonded during the audition filming so it's expected there will be a childminding service for them on set when the live shows start," a Seven spokeswoman confirmed.

A source told UK newspaper The People: "Victoria may well have already achieved success with her clothing line but, for the past few months, she has been working on a plan, so people can buy her clothes with the touch of a button.

"Of course, Victoria will be a stay-at-home mum for the next few months following last week's birth of Harper, so that is why she has come up with a plan to expand her fashion empire and control it from her laptop at home."

The source added: "Victoria is looking to open a store in New York on the prestigious Fifth Avenue, which is home to fashion icons such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana.

"Victoria's denim range is already on sale at Saks department store on Fifth Avenue. But since launching her own collection three years ago, she believes it is about time she had her very own boutique there."

After a week of speculation, David Beckham has finally revealed the reasons behind his newborn daughter Harper Seven's unusual name.

Despite a long-held rumour that his wife Victoria has never read a book, the footballer said they had named their daughter after Harper Lee - the author of Posh's favourite book To Kill A Mockingbird.

In a series of videos posted on his official Facebook page, the LA Galaxy player speaks about his joy as becoming a father for the fourth time.

Dismissing speculation they named Harper Seven off a character from Disney TV show Wizards Of Waverly Place or Harper's Bazaar magazine, David said the name had a literary meaning for them.

He said: 'A lot of thought goes into our children's names and Harper was a name that we've loved for a long time for a couple of reasons.

'One reason is Harper's an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria's favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author was Harper Lee. It's a very strong, passionate book. That's where Harper came from.'

The revelation that is is Victoria's favourite book may surprise some fans, because it was widely thought she had never read a book.

However in an interview six years ago, she insisted she did read books, but didn't usually get a chance to finish them due to her busy schedule.

The footballer went on to admit her former shirt number 7 while he played for Manchester United and England had also played a strong part in them choosing Seven as a middle name.

He explained: 'And then Seven you know, a lot of people have assumed its just because of my shirt number that I wore for many years and part of it is because I had so much luck around wearing that number, wearing it for England, wearing it for Manchester United.

'The other reasons behind Seven was because it symbolises spiritual perfection, the Seven Wonders Of The World, seven colours of the rainbow and in many cultures around the world it's regarded as a lucky number.

'So we love the name, we love Harper Seven. We're very proud of having her in our lives and in our family and it's an amazing time for our family right now.

In a second video, the father-of-four admitted he was adjusting to life with a girl in the house after so long with just the couple's three sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six.

He said: 'To have another girl in the family is really incredible. We've got three beautiful healthy boys already and we're so lucky to have that and now to have a beautiful little girl.

'Having a daughter is a whole new thing. Having pink in the house, having lilac in the house... and you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than boys and I'm not used to that so it's a whole new experience.

It's an amazing experience to have that little bundle of joy in your hands, making her little noises and opening their eyes, it really is an incredible moment for us.'

Beckham's online video comes a day after his wife spoke of her joy as becoming a mother to little Harper.

The ex-Spice Girl delivered the 7lbs, 10oz baby at 7:55am on Sunday morning via caesarean section.

She Tweeted: 'Baby Harper is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen, I have fallen in love all over again!!!

'We all feel so blessed and the boys love their baby sister so much!!! X VB.'

Harper's birth was announced by her proud husband David on his Facebook page hours after the baby's arrival.

“Being pregnant, they forgot to tell you that you can't see your toes or your lady bits,” she remarked to Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie-O. “People forgot to tell you the gory bits. It's not pretty. And I don't think it gets easier, the older you get the more your body gets battered.”

The LA based celebrity added that she will be visiting Victoria Beckham soon to congratulate her, following the birth of her daughter Harper Seven last weekend. The new arrival joins Victoria and husband David’s three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

When asked if she would also be sharing her friend's habit of naming her child something unusual, Mel admitted that some of her choices “are weird”. She already has two children named Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris.

The new bundle of joy will be Melanie and husband Stephen Belafonte's first child, and the pop star has revealed that he is hands on with fatherhood.

The Spice Girl turned fashion designer, 37, gave birth to her and husband David's first daughter by caesarean at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 10.

In a statement on his Facebook page, former England football captain Beckham said: "I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham.

"She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx".

However, the 36-year-old star, who is expecting her third child, is finding her pregnancy 'humps and bumps' are proving slightly problematic in doing up the straps on the shoes.

So Mel has enlisted the help of husband Stephen Belafonte to aid her in ensuring the shoes are on nice and tight.

Mel is showing no signs of letting her pregnancy get in the way of her sense of style and was photographed in Beverly Hills yesterday wearing an equally high pair of studded black Christian Louboutin heels.

Singer Melanie Chisholm and model Jodie Kidd are donating their favourite swimsuits to a charity in aid of cancer research.

The former Spice Girls star is among a group of British celebrities taking part in Speedo's Swim Amnesty, which aims to raise money for Cancer Research U.K.

For each tonne of swimming costumes and goggles donated by members of the public, swimwear company Speedo will hand $1,600 (£1,000) to the charity.

Chisholm says, "This is a great cause, I am glad that my old swimming costume will be recycled but (will) also raise loads of money for Cancer Research. It would be great to see everybody joining in and donating last season's swimwear to help this fantastic cause. It's also a great excuse to buy a new cossie (costume)!"

Her romantic holiday to Sardinia is Halliwell's fourth holiday this year.

Halliwell has been dating Beckwith - cousin of socialite Tamara Beckwith since March 2009 - just days after Geri ended her brief engagement to Italian yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi.

The British songstress rose to international fame as one fifth of girl band the Spice Girls. She is a big fan of Queen of Pop Madonna and is in awe of how many hits she’s had.

The 35-year-old star, who is due to give birth to her third child this summer, has revealed if she had to choose one of Madonna’s tracks to cover it would be 1984 hit Like a Virgin.

“thats a hard question,” she mused, when asked which Madonna song she’d cover if given the opportunity during a Q&A with fans on her website. “she has zoo many b***dy good ones,the obvious one is like a virgin hahahaha (sic).”

But it's business as usual for Mel B who was snapped attending a meeting for her role as a judge on this year's Australian X Factor.

They are two British singers who were part of the country's biggest girl groups - the Spice Girls and Girls Aloud, so you can understand why Mel B and Nadine Coyle have a lot in common.

But it seems the pair are more than just acquaintances and are now BFFs (or Best Friends Forever), judging by a picture Mel posted on her Twitter page.

Mel put the picture up yesterday after meeting up with the Northern Irish singer at a barbecue in Los Angeles.

Thought it was about time I did another blog, especially as I've done some pretty exciting things recently and work on the album has moved up a gear. Song writing for album number 5 has seen me sharing my time between London, Stockholm, Hamburg and Copenhagen and I'm so excited with the results – can't wait for you all to hear 'The Sea'!

I was very privileged in March to sing with two of the country's finest orchestras at two impressive venues. Joining the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for their evening to raise money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation was great fun, and even better to be back in Liverpool. Within a couple of weeks I was back down in London at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate Mikhail Gorbachev's 80th birthday – what a night! I performed with the London Symphony Orchestra in front of a star-studded audience, and even got an introduction from Sharon Stone and Kevin Spacey.

We were really pleased when we heard that 'Rock Me' had been chosen to accompany ZDF's coverage of the Women's World Cup next month. It's a fantastic opportunity to be part of the event and you guys know I like my footy! Women's football is getting more and more popular, the last final was watched by over 12 million people, so that's a lot of football fans to hear the track. Although 'Rock Me' wasn't written specifically for the coverage, I think you'll agree that the energy of the song fits in pretty well with what will no doubt be a great atmosphere and tournament – come on England!!

My first performances of the track will be at the end of this week. I'm doing the track acoustically on Friday on German TV and on Saturday at the Felix Sturm v Matthew Macklin boxing match in Cologne, it'll certainly be the first time I sing in a boxing ring, so maybe I'll watch 'Rocky' before I head out there for a bit of inspiration! Although the song is only being released as a physical single in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, I'm really pleased that you'll be able to purchase it worldwide on iTunes from June 24 and 26 – depending where in the world you are!

We headed up north to film the video, a traditionally chilly Manchester day didn't deter us from making a great video – featuring some wicked keepy uppy tricks and I even got to have a bit of a boogie with a crew of very talented dancers. Video shoots and photo shoots aplenty, I had a great shoot with photographer Ray Burmiston for the album and single artwork. I've worked with Ray loads of times over the years back as far as 1996! It was a brilliant day with fantastic results the finished images were definitely some of the best pictures I've had taken – we also got to rock out to some music during the shoot so it was a really fun day.

And that nearly brings me up to date; I had a fab night at the Cuckoo Club a few weeks ago to celebrate two years of Dean Piper's column in the Sunday Mirror. The night was also raising money for Macmillan, so I was more than happy to take up Dean's invitation to sing at the bash. I was joined by Paul and Nick and we did a few of the old favourites acoustically and treated party-goers to a new song called 'Stupid Game', which I'm happy to say was really well received. Dean then got up on stage for 'When You're Gone' taking Bryan's bit – I think he was a bit nervous but did so well, the crowd loved it!

So that was me for the last few weeks, it's all go! Coming up I've got more recording and finishing off of the album... Oh, and the small matter of a video for the first single from the album. Yes, the track has been chosen!

I'm just a working-class girl from Leeds at heart. Always have been, always will be; money and success hasn't changed that. I was born in Harehills, an inner-city suburb of Leeds, and later we lived in another part of the city, Burley, but I left home in my early teens and I learned about life by myself. My first job was dancing in Blackpool. Then in 1994, when I was 19, I joined a band called Touch, which became the Spice Girls, which was just so full on. My parents, Andrea and Martin, came to see us on tour, but we never had a lot of time together after that.

My husband, Stephen Belafonte, a producer, was a friend first. I had two children, Phoenix Chi, who's now 12, and Angel, who's four, and he had a daughter, Giselle, now six, by the time we became a couple. We all get on because I make sure we do. It's a fine line between being a friend and a parent. But I'm determined that the girls grow up to be respectful. I can't bear to see children who throw things around and don't take care of their belongings. I guess I am very strict – I'm always telling them to tidy up their rooms and make their beds.

When the results of the DNA test came in and Angel was, in fact – no surprise – Eddie Murphy's child, I encouraged their relationship from day one.

My littlest girl thinks she is a princess. Angel is into everything girly – princess shoes and pink dresses. She's so sweet.

Phoenix is completely different, very curious and thoughtful. She's also into sport and is a bit of a tomboy. She's in sixth grade at the moment. I want to make sure all my children get well educated – every mum would like to see their children choose a decent nurturing profession, like medicine and I am no different. But I also want them to enjoy themselves, whether that means becoming a nerdy doctor or opening an orphanage or being a singer.

You have to be dedicated. We went to see Willow Smith perform live in Los Angeles, where we live. Phoenix, who is six months older than Willow, said to me, how cool is that, to be doing what she does? But I said, 'Darling, if you wanted to be a singer now, you'd be practising all day every day in your room already – you wouldn't be able to stop …' But she isn't like that, and you can't force children, nor should you.

I have regular therapy sessions. Therapy makes you more aware of your partner. We don't need counselling – it's not like that. But it does make you more considerate of each other. It's helped me to build good relationships with my daughters. It reminds you to check in with your kids every day. It is certainly not about blaming your parents – it just helps you understand events and helps you to change your attitudes and thought processes. It teaches you to respect each other.

I'm six months pregnant and Stephen and I couldn't be happier. I am eating a lot. Luckily, Stephen is a good cook.

The Spice Girls are still a family. You can't go through what we did so young and not have a special bond. We don't have to see each other all the time, and we don't have to agree on everything, but I know we will always support each other. My friends mean the world to me.

Victoria Beckham has spared no expense kitting out a “shabby chic” nursery for her unborn baby girl, according to reports.

The 37-year-old former Spice Girl is reportedly making sure her Los Angeles home is ready for her new arrival.

Beckham, who already has three sons – Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six – with her husband David, is said to be creating a “girlie” nursery.

A source told UK magazine Closer: 'The nursery is ready and is a girlie overload.

'It's very tasteful – mostly cream with dashes of pink and every detail has been thought of. The design is shabby chic with French-inspired furniture. The baby will get the finest of everything.'

Posh, who is due to give birth next month, has not only splashed out on furniture from luxury baby boutique Petit Trésor, she has also reportedly snapped up some designer baby clothes for her daughter.

A source said: 'Victoria splashed out £549 on a bassinet crib and bought a £1,584 changing table and a chaise-longue. She also got three teddy bears.

'One of the stunning pieces is a £1,825 cream wardrobe with bunnies engraved into the frame – which she has already filled.”

The source added: 'She had already bought a few pieces in New York and online, such as a Kate Mack dress, plus she got lots of presents at her baby shower in May. She's so excited.'

In an appearance on US chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, Gordon told of his friend's big appetite.

He said: 'She eats like a horse!'

But Kimmel wasn't convinced, quipping: 'What kind of a horse? A very thin horse... one of those carousel horses?'

The Spice Girls have all come a long way since their days of Adidas tracksuits and Union Jack dresses.

But it is Victoria Beckham who has worked the hardest to leave her days of PVC all-in-ones and thigh-skimming dresses far behind.

The former singer has earned the support of the fashion world by building up her highly successful, eponymous label, dressing A-listers including Blake Lively, Katherine Jenkins and Elle Macpherson.

The 37-year-old has topped a poll of the best dressed mums-to-be.

She collected 34 per cent of the votes in a survey of 16 to 25-year-olds, conducted by online fashion retailer Josoblu.co.uk, closely followed by This Morning favourite Holly Willoughby with 28 per cent.

This is Victoria's fourth pregnancy, so it's probably no surprise that she has worked out how to look her best.

Most of the other pregnant celebrities on the list also already had children. But Natalie Portman and Pink also sneaked into the top eight.

Mums picked Victoria as their favourite because despite her tottering heels, she dresses well without revealing too much bump.

They thought her maternity style for casual and smart occasions was perfect and that she has the balance just right.

Holly, who gave birth to her daughter Belle on April 14, was praised for her somewhat revealing style on Dancing on Ice and her practical fashion choices during the day.

Other stars who made the list were Hollywood A-listers Jessica Alba and Natalie Portman alongside Posh’s fellow spice girl Mel B.

But Victoria Beckham has denied reports she has already chosen Eva Longoria to be godmother to her unborn baby girl.

With a few weeks to go before she is scheduled to give birth to her fourth child, Posh hasn't even begun to think about the christening yet.

Mrs Beckhams' spokesperson denied a tabloid report today that the ex-Spice Girl had already given the honour to Longoria.

Her representative told the MailOnline: 'Victoria has not asked Eva to be a godmother and no christening plans have been discussed at this time.'

When little Miss Beckham does arrive, there will be a host of celebrity friends to chose from to become her godparents.

Along with husband David, Victoria is said to have considered other stars for the role, including Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Heidi Klum and Seal and even Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Victoria and Eva, who have been showbiz friends for four years, became even closer when the designer helped the actress through her divorce from basketball star Tony Parker earlier this year.

IN THE absence of another reunion tour, what’s a Spice Girl to do?

Why, think about having another baby, of course. Hence the whispers that Geri Halliwell, who will turn 39 this August, wants to squeeze in (or rather, out) a little brother or sister for her five-year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna.

Geri’s broody pangs have probably been triggered by the productive activity of her fellow band members; Emma Bunton has just had her second child, a son called Tate, while Victoria Beckham is doing her breathing exercises in readiness for the arrival of child number four next month.

The question is, while Ginger Spice may be keen to get down to the process of conception, who will volunteer to provide the male input (so to speak).

In Bluebell’s case, the honour of paternity was granted to Sacha Gervasi, a scriptwriter with whom Gerri had a brief fling. Not that she seemed to appreciate his services as an Italian stallion; she threw away the flowers the bewildered chap had sent her and refused to let him see his daughter when he flew to England shortly after the birth.

What’s a Spice Girl to do?

So it looks as if it is up to Henry Beckwith to gird his loins and give Geri what she really, really wants. Smooth Henry, the Old Etonian son of a property developer, has been stepping out with Miss Halliwell for the past two years, but his roving eye has caused blips in their relationship. As you may have already read on Melanie's Twitter earlier today, her long awaited 5th album will be titled 'The Sea', inspired by the title track written with Richard "Biff" Stannard. Melanie has previously worked with Biff on various Spice Girls tracks and her debut single 'Goin' Down'. The album also features 'Rock Me', which will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on June 24 as part of ZDF's FIFA Women's World Cup broadcast. 'Rock Me' is written by Melanie, Dave Roth and David Jost.

Some of you may have also heard a preview of the track 'Stupid Game' which will also appear on the album. Melanie wrote the song with Adam Argyle and Martin Brammer. Melanie recently performed it acoustically and you can find the video of the performance over on our YouTube page. Melanie has also collaborated on the new album with Jodie Marr, Cutfather, Ina Wroldsen, Jez Ashurst, and James Walsh (Starsailor) among others.

The singer found fame as part of the legendary girl group, comprising of her, Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell. Geri left the band in 1998 and the rest of the girls decided to end things two years later.

After time apart the group briefly reunited in 2007 and since then they've been continually asked whether they would ever take to the stage together again. Mel C loves the idea, but is keen to work hard promoting her fifth solo album at the moment.

' had such a great time in 2007 that I would absolutely consider it,' Melanie told Q magazine, 'but I have to give 100% to my new album first.'

Mel is proud of her career but does have some regrets. She released several records with label Virgin, before starting up her own firm Red Girl Records in 2004. She wishes she done it sooner, as she is unhappy about some of the decisions which were made when she was with Virgin.

'The last stages of my time at Virgin,' she replied, when asked if she has regrets. ' was very young, vulnerable and I wasn't ready to go back to work, the team had changed and wrong choices were made. It taught me I had to start my own label.'

Former Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell is among the stars who will give relationship advice on new show The Marriage Ref.

The show will begin on ITV1 on Saturday nights at the end of June and it will be hosted by Dermot O'Leary.

It is based on the format of the US show that was created by Jerry Seinfeld where a panel of celebrities give relationship advice to real life couples who are having trouble in their marriage.

The celebrities then help decide who is right in each situation.

Other stars on the panel include TV presenter Jonathan Ross, comedians Alan Carr and Jimmy Carr as well as Sarah Millican and Micky Flanagan and Gavin & Stacey star James Corden.

Mel C unveils 'Rock Me' music video

Mel C has unveiled the music video for her new single 'Rock Me'.

The former Spice Girl will release the track in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on June 24, with a reworked dance version due to be released in the UK shortly after.

'Rock Me' will be used as the official theme tune for German broadcaster ZDF's Women's World Cup coverage.

The video was shot in Manchester and features a selection of footballing skills as well as a number of choreographed dance sequences from Mel C and her backing dancers.

The star is currently in the recording studio working on her fifth studio album with Andy Chatterley, who has previously worked with Kylie Minogue, Nerina Pallot, Kanye West and Diana Vickers.

Mel C has teased that her new album will contain elements of dance, acoustic and rock influences.

Speaking about the album on her website, she explains: "I really feel this could be the best album of my career. I've worked with great writers, got fantastic songs and I'm really excited about the production.

"After working in the theatre my voice is in pretty good shape and following a long break after having my little girl and my theatre run, I've been feeling even more inspired."

Mel C recently revealed that the birth of her daughter saved her from suffering depression.

Former Spice Girls singer Melanie Chisholm has congratulated new mum Pink on the birth of her baby girl.

The Raise Your Glass hitmaker became a mother for the first time after welcoming baby Willow Sage Hart into the world.

She tweeted the news to her fans yesterday, after arriving with husband Carey Hart at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles shortly after lunchtime.

The 31-year-old singer wrote: 'We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She's gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed.'

Mel, 37, who has daughter Scarlet, has since taken to her Twitter page to wish Pink all the best.

She wrote: '@Pink Welcome to the Mummy club. it's the best.'

He is one of the most famous men in Britain and David Beckham has revealed that even the Queen takes an interest in his personal life.

The footballer has told how Her Majesty asked after his wife Victoria when he met her at a state dinner in London last week.

Beckham, 36, was speaking to the Queen at the dinner attended by Barack Obama when she inquired about his pregnant wife.

The footballer said: ‘Funnily enough she knew I was having a baby in six weeks. It shocked me that she knew. I love the Queen.’

The LA Galaxy player made the revelation during an appearance on a U.S. talk show hosted by Scottish-born comedian Craig Ferguson.

Beckham also spoke about Prince William and Harry and said: ‘We have seen them grow up into real men and go through so much in such a short space of time.’

The footballer also spoke about his love of tattoos, revealing that he would let his sons go under the needle when they had reached a certain age.

But he said he wouldn’t allow the daughter his wife Victoria, 37, is expecting later this summer to get a tattoo.

He said: ‘I’m not sure I would let her get tattoos but the boys I couldn’t really argue with.’

He added: ‘While I love them personally, I’m not sure they’re going to look great when I’m 75.'

Mel C focusing on solo career

Mel C would love a Spice Girls reunion – just not quite yet.

After time apart the group briefly reunited in 2007 and since then they’ve been continually asked whether they would ever take to the stage together again. Mel C loves the idea, but is keen to work hard promoting her fifth solo album at the moment.

“I had such a great time in 2007 that I would absolutely consider it,” Melanie told Q magazine, “but I have to give 100% to my new album first.”

Mel is proud of her career but does have some regrets. She released several records with label Virgin, before starting up her own firm Red Girl Records in 2004. She wishes she done it sooner, as she is unhappy about some of the decisions which were made when she was with Virgin.

“The last stages of my time at Virgin,” she replied, when asked if she has regrets. “I was very young, vulnerable and I wasn’t ready to go back to work, the team had changed and wrong choices were made. It taught me I had to start my own label.”

Melanie’s new album will be released in late 2011.

TOO hot to handle? Mel B (left) is the big draw on this year's X Factor, but some say the former Spice Girl is proving a challenge to manage.

It's understood the pregnant star has pulled out of at least one high-profile magazine shoot at the last minute.

Journalists seeking any interviews in the lead-up to the show, which is expected to go to air around August, have been kept away from the singer.

Mel B did, however, do a radio interview with Austereo mid-week, as she's signed to the station for the duration of the show.

"The publicity team has no idea how to handle her," claimed a well-placed insider.

"For one magazine shoot, Seven cancelled at the last minute with publicity intimating it was a really serious health problem," the source said.

"Then Mel B was photographed by paparazzi out and about all over Sydney."

With all due respect, though, we love the straight-talking Mel B and we hear she's been a delight to production staff and her fellow judges - Ronan Keating, Guy Sebastian and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

So if she's a bit demanding, we can forgive her. After all, we need a few more divas in this town.
